| My Yorkie had at least 15 different names the first two weeks I had him. Everyone joined in in giving him a name. And, he was often called one of these names for a day or two. It got so that people would call and say, "What's the puppy's name today?" All of the names were cute - but, finally one name seemed to be just perfect --- "Murphy." And Murphy is his name. Carol Jean PS: It has taken me two months to name my two new little parakeets "Sylvester and Tweetie." |

| Well, Ted E. Bear got his name quickly... For Christmas DH surprised me, the biggest surprise from him since my engagement ring many years ago, LOL! We were at a birthday party for my 23 year old son in September, and his best friend's girlfriend showed up with a Yorkie and I went nuts over him. I said out loud that I'd LOVE to have one just like him, jokingly, because I knew hubby would NEVER go for having a little dog. (We previously had a great dane and whenever I'd mention a little dog, hubby would say, "No, how about a GSD?") After the party and before Christmas, DH phoned our son at college and told him to get all the info on his friends yorkie. His friend is from down in Tennessee. DH sent our son a check for the amount and told him to go to that exact same breeder and to get me one exactly like his friends. The breeder was a 3 hour drive for my son! Anyhow, long story short, on Christmas, our son and his girlfriend came in from college and they walked through the door with a blue baby blanket and she was cradling something... it was a 10 wk old yorkie puppy!!! She sat it next to me and everyone shouted MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I cried and squeeled like I just won the showcase of prizes on "The Price is Right"!!! I remember the first thing that I said was "Oh, he looks just like a teddy bear, I want to name him Teddy." My DH replied, "I am a 300lb man (a former football player) and It's bad enough that I am going to have a 5 lb dog, but I draw the line at hollering for "Teddy", but I guess I wouldn't mind yelling for "Bear". So, he is registered as Ted E. Bear! He is a tightwad so he joked forever about Bear being the most expensive price per lb. thing he's ever bought in his life! I have to say that I was raised on a farm with TONS of animals. We bred horses, cattle, show rabbits, and show dogs. We had cats, chickens, ducks, and homing pigeons; but, I have bonded with this pup like I've never bonded with any animal before, ever. I think that a bond this strong doesn't come along every day. My puppy has slept in my lap (or on me), night and day since day one. He is absolutely perfect and I am "eat up" with him! Sorry, this reply is probably longer than you were wanting, but I had to share. Thank You! |

| Thanks ShamRocker! When I was a kid, I had a border collie named "Hugger" and seeing "Tugger's" name made me feel that warm and fuzzy feeling of being a kid on the farm again! |

| Well Bouncer got his name b/c he looks like a little bunny rabbit when he "bounces" through the grass! Lotte should have been named Hopper. She's going to be a FANTASTIC agility dog! hahaha She jumps all over the freaking place! lol But The Phantom of the Opera has and always be one of my all-time favorite musicals. I'm a musical theatre junkie. I studied it in high school, went to New York and took some Broadway classes. So she was named Little Lotte Let Her Mind Wonder. In the musical, Little Lotte was Raul's nickname for Christine when they were young.

| With Trixie I wanted a Disney Name, so I watched Lady and the Tramp and it was one of the names of a dog emntioned when Lady was in the pound. My sister named Kasey after her favorite NASCAR driver and his middle name, Diddimus, was a character (a Yorkie) from the movie Labrynth. |

| My daughter named Won Ton because she loves Won Ton soup and thought it would be cute. I thought it was such a great idea. Especially since my mother in law has a dog named ravioli and it sort of matched it! BTW- my mother-in-law did not choose the name ravioli- it came with the dog. |

| Our furbaby is Megan, we call her Meg for short. We got her name originally bc when we first decided to get a pup, we were nieve and tried to buy one offline. Anyway to make a long story short they got the money and we were left without a pup. They had used someone elses pic, and name which was Meg. So when we found got our furbaby from a breeder this time. We decided to stay the name Meg cause we love it, and also her name means soft and gentle, so it fits her perfectly. |

| well, I didn't know I was getting Sadie, as she was a gift, so I wasn't prepared with a name when I got her. I took suggestions from everyone I talked to in the first couple of hours after I got her. My mom suggested Tinkerbell & call her Belle. I said that's cute, but I do NOT want to look like I'm copying Paris Hilton (as this is when she carried her chi around EVERYWHERE). My Aunt suggested Sadie. They were getting a puppy at the same time & their kids wanted to name their dog Sadie, but they have friends w/a dog w/that name, so she wouldn't let them name theirs that too. So I decided to combine them both & call her Sadie Belle.
