| Yes, boiled chicken is fine. Just make sure you don't have any peices of bone in it. |

| Just thought I'd add a funny note.....the other night Suz husband, Steve, was out of town, so she fixed some chicken baked with Thousand Island Dressing and orange juice (which he does not like).. To go with it, she fixed some rice. I said, "Oh, we are having chicken and rice." and she said, "Yep, we are having dog food!!" (We fix chicken and rice, no 1000 island dressing or OJ, of course, for the ones who might be not feeling well, and for the Mama's with puppies. They love it!) |

| I think it would be okay but not a steady diet of it. Your pup isn't going to get all of the nutrients/vitamins/minerals it needs from just chicken and rice...the high quality puppy foods that are on the market have everything that your little one needs. I'd be concerned with the lunch meat particularly as some contain nitrates/nitrites which are not good for your pup. |

| It's probably ok to give her chicken breast (broiled no oil, seasonings) but hard kibble is probably best for her in the long run, especially for her teeth. Lunch meat is a big no no because it has a lot of sodium and preservatives which can give the babies runny or soft poop. I would take her off that as soon as possible. From talking to vets and other breeders it's good to keep them on a consistent diet like hard kibble from the beginning so that their stomachs get stronger and they are on a regiment.
