| Hey - here's an idea.... When we lived in FL we had terrible problems with fleas on our cats (had no dogs at the time). We tried collars and they worked some but not completely... and then we still had to deal with the fleas biting US! We DID NOT want a flea infested house or pets! Someone advised us back then to use Borax. We put it down on our carpet for a couple of days and put some on the cats (Sounds terrible, doesn't it? I'd check with a vet before I'd do it again, but this person said it was safe. She read it in an article.). We vaccumed and then they were GONE! It was quite a while before we had to repeat. Sometimes we'd leave a little bit on the floor in front of doorways just to keep the fleas from coming in. We never had ticks on the cats - and FL was loaded with them! Perhaps the Borax worked on that too??? I don't know - take it for what it's worth. Here in northern Michigan we haven't had ANY troubles with fleas or ticks. I'm amazed and thankful!

| We use Sentinel and both of our dogs (Lab and Yorkie) and we have never had a flea on either dog. It works for fleas and heartworms, but not ticks. |

| I use Frontline Plus and Heartgard on my Golden and my two older Yorkies. On my younger two Yorkies I use Revolution (includes heartworm preventative). I would rather use Frontline and Heartgard on all of them, but the Heartgard is so big for my smaller ones that it takes them forever to eat it. Also, Joey has decided he won't even try it anymore. I do wait until evening before bedtime to put this on them. That way they are good and dry by morning. I'm always afraid while they are playing it will get in their mouths so I wait until right before bedtime.
