| Silly question...I'm new to having a girl.. Okay. I'm naive and clueless when it comes to hairbows!! I just got my girl, Dixie and she has enough hair on the top of her head for a bow, I think. so I've been looking and browsing. Have noticed there are size differences. Dixie is 2 1/2 months old and close to 2 pounds. What size should I get? I noticed some are 5/8", some 7/8"...I don't have a clue!! I want a couple that she'll be able to wear for awhile. So do I get the larger bow? Or will it look huge on her head now? Is there different types like some that have barrettes to attach them with or little rubberband things? and which is better? I know these are probably stupid questions...and my husband is laughing at me right now, because I'm so confused over silly little dog bows...but I have absolutely no experience with any type of bows...I have a 2 1/2 year old skinbaby daughter, but she is cursed in the hair department and doesn't have hardly any hair yet... Thanks!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I get the 3/8 size for Cali and some 5/8 and she is 4 1/2 lbs. The place i get 3/8 or the 5/8 x 1 inch are from Diva Dog bowtique. Lae dog bows on YT also has cute 5/8 bows. I have so many cute bows for Cali. She has never worn the same bow twice. I change it every week but redo it daily.

| 3/8 would be good for now but if you want a bow that will fit now and still work when she is bigger I would go with the 5/8. Scampers is 5 pounds and a 7/8 bow is way too big but the 5/8 bow is perfect and I even used it on him when he was 2 pounds. As for the elastic band vs barrette, it is all a matter of opinion. I have found the elastic bands to work much better and they will keep the bows in the hair better without falling out and will keep the bow centered and even. I would suggest get one of each and see which one works best for you. Alot of yorkies have different hair so what may work for one will not work for another.
