| This is gross but.... My cat threw up on the landing to go into the basement and when I came back with the stuff to clean it, it was almost all GONE! Brutus just ATE the cats puke! Now not only do I want to hurl myself but I'm worried he's going to be sick. I purposely keep the cats food and litter in the basement because Brutus will eat just about ANYTHING but he doesn't go down there. Can they get sick from eating cat food? Well, regurgitated cat food? I guess I'll find out soon enough.

| I don't think so. But that is nasty. I love when they decide to eat their own.

| My cats have a tendancy to regurgitate their food... Between the three of 'em we have it happen quite often. Fortunately they tend to do it in a room Pixie doesn't have access to, or I'm sure she'd eat it too! I used to clean it up right away, now I just leave 'em. The culprit usually eats it again right away anyway.... Why not? It was probably only in their stomach for a few minutes and hasn't even begun to be digested! I don't think an occasional cat food snack is going to do too much damage, but I wouldn't make it a regular occurrence. Cat food is generally too high in fat and protiens for our pups and could eventually cause health problems if eaten regularly. And I agree, it is gross... But then again, it's no worse than when she plays with kitty hairballs and snacks on "litter box treats" |

| Eww, sick. Ginger would have done the same thing given the opportunity. I doubt it will make him sick. He just wanted to help Mom out around the house. You can’t be upset about that. Lol

| That IS gross!!! I have always heard that it is o.k. for dogs to eat cat food but cats should not eat dog food. Unless the puke contained poison or something, I am sure Brutus will be fine!
