| Neuter I was wondering if anybody have had any experince with getting their dog neutered when they were about 6 months or older. does the humping stop? I have a lab that was neuter at around 2 months and he never did the humping thing that we all hate seeing. My yorkie is going to be 6 months on June 24 and is humping my lab and it is very annoying seeing that specially with small children in the house. Please help. will the humping go away when neutered?

| I just neutered mine about 2 weeks ago(hes 10months) Usually when he would get a stuffed animal thats what he would hump. Now that he is neutered, he doesnt hump it anymore! So it helped mine in that sense. Though is still a little territorial, as in peeing. |

| Chachi humps a teddybear. Neutering didnt stop him from doing that but he doesnt do it very often since his neutering. Now he only does it every now and then.

| mine just got done Mine is almost 6mos and I got him neutered last week. I was so sick about it. I wanted to wait until 10mos or more BUT I'm getting anothe rmale puppy and was afraid that once the marking started...it would be hard to stop. Mine is ahead of his develoopment and already marks quite a bit outside. the only time he humps is with other dogs and I'm hoping that will not happen now that he is neutered. suz |

| I got Hobbs neutered at 5.5 months and he completely stopped humping and stopped showing his "lipstick" about 30 days after we got him neutered. It takes 30 days for the hormones to completely cycle out of their system, so usually you don't get the full effect until 30 days after the surgery. We didn't want him to "learn" how to hump, so we never bought him any stuffed animals and we always scolded him whenever he would try to hump something (like his bed or a blanket). Now I say that he is very "ladylike"...he even still squats to pee! If you punish your yorkie, then I am confident that after he gets neutered that he will not hump anymore. Good luck! |

| My pup is 9/10 months old and needs to get neutered soon. The only thing he has ever humped (and not often) is a stuffed animal that he plays with. Good luck! Carol Jean |
