I got Hobbs neutered at 5.5 months and he completely stopped humping and stopped showing his "lipstick" about 30 days after we got him neutered. It takes 30 days for the hormones to completely cycle out of their system, so usually you don't get the full effect until 30 days after the surgery. We didn't want him to "learn" how to hump, so we never bought him any stuffed animals and we always scolded him whenever he would try to hump something (like his bed or a blanket). Now I say that he is very "ladylike"...he even still squats to pee!
If you punish your yorkie, then I am confident that after he gets neutered that he will not hump anymore. Good luck! |
