| do your dogs notice when you're not feeling well? My yorkies are so amazing with this! I am hypoglycemic (low blood sugar...caused by hyperinsulinism) and get really low at times. I take care of it but when I have a really bad episode it usually wipes me out for the rest of the day. A few days ago I had a bad episode. My dogs stayed by my side as I was at the fridge gulping orange juice and shoving crackers in my mouth. When I went to test my blood sugar in the bathroom they stood outside of the door for me to come out. When my levels were back up a little I decided to go and lay down on the couch for a while. My dogs were right by me as I walked over. And it was so cute because one was on each side of me as if they wanted to make sure I was covered all around I went to lay on the couch and they both came up and laid with me. They would not leave my side all day. Towards late evening it was getting kind of annoying because they were just EVERYWHERE I was...wouldn't leave me alone. But everytime I would look at them looking up at him with their heads cocked to the side I couldn't help but give them hugs (which they promptly returned with their puppy kisses ) This whole thing is kind of a pain and scary but my dogs make it more bearable Anytime anybody in my family is sick whether it be a cold or something else those dogs won't leave you alone! It's almost like they want to make sure you're ok! I'm so lucky -Melissa

| Me too. Jazzie is very aware of my emotions. She is my Rock! That's why some dogs are very good therapy dogs. They respond to people according to where they are at physically. I've even seen a special on tv about a dog that senses when his young epileptic owner was going to have a seizure and alert her. It gave her time to prepare, enabled her to attend school and gave her more freedom. It was amazing.

| I def. think so as well. When I was recovering from surgery, Louie was by my side the whole time. He gave more kisses as he would normally. Then over last summer I sprained my ankle, and he would lay with me on the couch, and follow me into the any room I would go into. I think they have a keen sense that something bad is happened or going to happen.

| I have Multiple Sclerosis and Topher has become very tuned in to when I'm having bad days. He'll stay in bed with me for hours, only getting up when he has to but immediately coming back to my side. He keeps close watch over me. The last dog I had...a terrier mutt, was amazingly in tuned to my health. In her final days, when she was extremely ill, she dragged herself to my side to comfort me as I was receiving i.v. treatment. Though she was so sick, she just had to try and comfort me. I truly believe that some if not most dogs become very tuned in to their master's health and happiness. They truly do put us first. |

| Oh boy do mine know when it is Chemo day for me. I come home and curl up on the couch and both of my furbabies are right next to me licking and snuggling until I get up. It's funny how they know us when we are down or ill.

| I don't know if my two babies Trixie and Scampers know how I feel, I have not had them long enough. But Peppi is aware of everything, every mood and emotion. She has helped through alot of rough years and I don't know what I would have done without her. Luckily this is turning out to be a good year for me, which was a long time ago. They really help you when you are sick or in a down mood. She won't leave my side and will follow me everywhere and will just lay there to be with me.

Yes most definitely. Mine have always noticed when anyone in the family is sick. If I lay in the bed all day they do as well. Same with my husband. Attached is a picture of one of the last times Ethan was sick and Mollie is laying at the end of the couch watching over him.

| I have asthma and one night it was bothering me so I was sleeping on the couch and apparently I was breathing abnormally and wheezing and Pita went and barked at my hubbie til he came and woke me up to do my inhaler. She would NEVER do that normally.

| Dolce is completely oblivious when I'm sick. She still tries to get me to play with her all the time, no matter how bad I feel. Maybe I just haven't ever been sick or sad enough to need her. But I think she's just too busy playing to pay attention. |
