| Vacation without my Kona :( I've had Kona for just over a month. Later this month my boyfriend and I will be going to Vegas and we won't be able to take her with us. So today we took Kona to my boyfriends parents house for a test run. She'll be staying there while we are in Vegas. But it is so strange being at home without Kona. At least we'll get her in the morning. I don't know how I'm going to handle our 4 days in Vegas. On a somewhat related note... I loved seeing how Kona interacted with their 4-year-old yorkie. It really makes me want to get another one so she has a friend to always play with. |

| We left for two weeks in Hawaii when I had Sissy two months. My original plan was not to get my puppy till we returned so I wouldn't have to leave her, but fate saw otherwise. It was a very hard two weeks. Two special friends had her each for a week. I called every day to check on her and carried her photos with me!! The last two weekends we have traveled, my friends have not been able to take her, so she was boarded at the "Canine Hilton" at the vet's office. It was incredibly difficult to leave her there. Fortunately, I have since met another yorkie owner who lives very near me and we will watch each other's babies when the need arises.

| Four days really isnt that bad and its great that you have relatives that will take her. In October we are going to Florida for two weeks and we have to board our yorkies. The time will go by fast. Oh and two yorkies are great

| I always hate leaving my baby behind when we travel. I have found a couple of resources that I have liked. One is a lady that will come to my house and let him out.( thats if I'm not gone but one day) Then a friend of mine has a kennel that she will put him in. It has a BIG run, plus the inside has air conditioning and heat, so if he gets too hot or cold, he can go through the doggie door. Then I have family members who have watched him for me as well. But I usually will take him with me. (if i can)
