| What I find really strange is that when Topher barks at night in the livingroom, he's always looking at the same spot...so I don't think it's a bug. My son seems to think that Topher sees my father in law who's passed...I don't know why, but that's his theory. I guess we'll never know............... |

| sometimes we sleep over at a friends house who channels the dead as a hobby. it seems there are alot of spirits hanging around her. her dogs and mine are always barking at ghosts. when she is channeling they bark at the ghost at the same time. |

| OMG-Oliver does the same thing......We'll be just sitting there watching tv or something, and all of a sudden he'll start barking into the air, but not at the direction of anything. We always laugh and say that he must be barking at a ghost. And, it's hard to break his concentration, too. He's not really a barker, thank goodness, unless the doorbell rings, or he sees a cat outside or something like that. But he's doing the ghost barking, he's so intent on whatever it is he's fixed on, that he doesn't hear you call, he doesn't see you walk by, NOTHING. You literally have to go over and touch him to get his attention away from it. Pretty creepy, lol. |

| I got my Yorkie, Posey about a year ago and he's been fine with barking and growling only when someone comes to the front door. About 3 months ago I heard something bang my front screen door and nothing was outside and my 3 year old son told me he was scared. My brother later told me that while I was away on vacation his door slammed shut on its own. After these two incidences my dog Posey began starring down the hallway at night and barking. We ignored it, assuming he was barking at noises. Recently I woke up to him whimpering in the living room by himself while we were all in our rooms asleep. He's normally by my wife's side at all times when she sleeps. The barking has happened randomly on different nights and we assumed it might be a ghost. Last night I woke up to him growling and barking. I tried to ignore him, but he continued to growl and hide under my bed, where he normally hides if I get upset with him. I got up and checked my kids rooms and he follows me to look and stares at empty spots in the room. I thought I'd come online today to see if any other dog owners shared similar stories and I was hoping it was maybe a mouse or worse case a rat that is scaring him. Either way, it scares the crap out of me and makes me lose sleep. ![]() |

| YT 1000 Club Member | @P.I.F you're not the only one my bully Roxie barks at our stairs when everyone is downstairs or I'm the only one home. She'll even go as far as growl/bark and run up the stairs to check things out. And this is coming from a dog who has never met a stranger! We've had doors open/close, lights flash like someone's taken a picture, someone call out "mommy" but my son would be asleep...just weird. My Yorkie hasn't done anything like that as of yet but I wouldn't be surprised if certain places on base are haunted. |

| On weekends when I go to bed late, I play with the pups. Suddenly they'll both stop, look upstairs and turn their head as if they're looking at someone walking across the upstairs hallway. -_-; It really freaks me out every time they do this because their heads always turns in the direction of my room. They stare for a bit longer and then just resumes to play. I get more scared b/c it's usually when it's just the 3 of us and totally bad timing b/c there's some horror movie on tv. |

| I have witnessed this recently two weeks ago the day my father in law passed away. There is no doubt in my mind after this incident.

| YT 1000 Club Member | Quite frequently, and I always check it out ! Besides the general superiority of all their senses, our Yorkies are basically little Scent Hounds. Their noses are always twitching back and forth, accessing the olfactory picture of their environment. I've grown to put a great deal of faith in their assessments.
