| Neuter tomorrow Buddy's schedule to be neutered tomorrow. Dh made the appt. He usually takes Buddy to the vet and has been very happy with their expertise and service. Buddy is 6 mos, 4.1 lbs. I'm nervous but thankfully, dh is calm. Is there something I should ask other than about pain meds? I hate the idea of anesthesia...my dd had a procedure and they gave her too much and it was scary to see her not waking up. Good thoughts and all that would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

| Oscar was neutered last thursday - he's 7 mths and 2lbs 9oz - I was scared to death for him. but he came through like a champ! Are you going in for pre-op blood work the night before. A lot of people strongly suggest this, just to make sure he's in tip top shape for his surgery. Don't be afraid to ask questions - I asked a ton of questions of my vet and they were great about answering everything for me. Make sure they use Isoflurane (sp?)... and you'll probably want to have him hooked up to an IV for the surgery... Don't worry! He'll be just fine! Oscar was up and about the day I brought him home (wobbly mind you, but still trying!)
