I still believe the owners died and maybe the family wasn't really close. it seems to explain it all.

This is kinda what I was thinking about her being stolen in general. If they stole the dog would they really put an ad in the paper that could be used as proof. The family idea is a real good one although I would think that they would've just said it was my so and so's dog and they died, but you never know. Also about them being short in answering questions they could've just felt guilty about giving the pup away for one reason or another and just wanted to do it quick. And with her being snappy that could just be her being in a new surroundings with new pups and people that she really doesn't know or trust around, hopefully that is all. Either way good for you for taking the pup from what seems to me like not such a good environment, even if it only ends up being until you find her real owner.

| I bet she was their neighbor's dog, and they stole her to get back at them for her barking, and then gave her away. That is what I thought at first. |

| Their story does seem a little strange without all the facts, but I am so glad that she found you to love her and its awsome to get a free yorkie! I hope that her behavior problems mellow as she gets more comfortable with you all!

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | were these people Americans? Did they speak English? I can't believe someone would just hand over a Yorkie and no nothing about it? How long had they had her? This is just bizarre! I'm so glad you have her, good luck! |

| Update I am taking her to the vet on Thursday to see if she is microchipped. I haven't found anything else out about her. She seems housebroken and very needy. If you are outside and leave her in she stands and yaps at the door. If you put her outside and go in she stands at the door and yaps. If you leave she yaps until you come back. My kids have discovered she does tricks for treats. She is a very loving dog. I think she maybe pregnant though so my vet will check her for that on Thurday too. She is a sweetie.

| I think it's GREAT that you are going to see if she was microchipped-GOOD for you! I do think it's odd, but WHY would someone give her away if she was stolen-you would think they would be in it for the $$$. But, it is very strange that they could not answer questions about her...maybe she was stolen as revenge on someone or something. Who knows-people are weird. Too many things don't make sense.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Wow That is really sad that they were able to give her away like that without looking back. B@stards. Oh well she has someone to love her now. God does work in mysterious ways. Aren't all yorkies pretty much needy . That seems to be a prime characteristic of the breed. I know Lex is forever needing a rub or company.
