| Will you be co-owning the puppy? No he will be mine, sole ownership and control of the papers. How long do you have to fulfill the agreement about breeding and giving back a female puppy? This one we havent quite figured out since first would like to see if he is show worthy, that puts off breeding for a little while, after that we talked about the first litter with more than one puppy that had a female would be hers. I am also willing to give up a single female pup to her if she wishes as I am grateful for this gift. If the litter is only 1 puppy, would you be prepared to repeat the mating? Yes, I plan to breed my dogs if both are show quality and healthy enough to breed. Since you said "he", if he is studded who gets the fee? I as owner would, her only tie to him is a female pup. Who pays for his STD testing? I do, once agian as owner this would fall into my hands to make sure he is a heatlhy boy. Do you get to make ALL decisions about him and his care and ownership? Yes. ie: if you were to decide to re-locate what is your responsibility to her? If I have not handed over a pup by that time I will bring her one when it is available, we talked about this since there is a good chance I will be moving back home to Washington in a year or so, or back east for school for a short period of time. Washington is not to far from her. If he "shoots blanks" and does not produce, is there an amount you would then have to pay for him? No, I have a female that IF she is heathy enough, capable (I will not breed a tiny dog)and is of good quality, i.e. has all the traits of breed standard, and show quality I will be breeding her and have the possiblity of a puppy through her. (we had thought the two of them would be a very good match if all health test and other circumstances worked out) Can the breeder just send people of her choice to you for stud service? No, she can reccomend me to others, and I get to decided if I will stud him or not. Can the breeder tell you to have him neutered if his babies are not quality? No, but if they are not quality, I would have him neutered myself. I am not interested in breeding a less than quality animal, and with the amount of dogs in shelters the world doesnt need my dog to add to it's population problem. Is this a person you know REALLY well? We have only been talking for a few weeks. However, we do talk quite a bit and seem to share a lot of the same thoughts on the yorkies. It seems as though it will work out, all though I know through life experiance anythig can go wrong. I repect her oppinion and visa versa so far, I hope that continues. Intact males can be more than a person can handle, train, vet and you might decide you just cannot keep him. What then? If I decide he is to much un neutred, I will have him altered. I will not give up my dog because it is difficult to train, vet, etc. It would be like giving away a child becasue they wont potty train, just not something I would do. Besides I have been around other peoples "problem dogs" before. My last Doberman Nova had a incontinance problem due to being spayed, everyone tried to talk me into putting her down due to that. I wouldnt, I loved her, and kept her in depends while she was inside. I found a way to deal with the problem, I didnt abandon the dog. I got her because my brothers girlfriend wouldnt deal with it. I had her for 4 years until her cancer got so bad we had no choice but to put her down. A problem is just somthing you have to work around. Well I think I have though it out, and we have discussed a lot of possiblities. We have talked for hours on the phone. I think it is a good thing, and I am excited. If there is other stuff I need to consider please let me know. Thanks for the advice

| Several years ago a friend of mine offered me a male yorkie. Purebreed but no papers. My landlady said "no" even though about 3 people in my apt complex had cats. I was real bummed . I was given that option again about 3 months ago but this time I didn't ask her if it was OK. Frankie is the sweetest thing. She even gave me first choice. Frankie's brother sold for $500.00. She does have the name of a female yorkie that she wants to stud him with. She said she only wanted him to be in a good home with lots of love. (and a puppy)

| I think its great Marlee! She must see something about you she likes. Some people are just kind. Besides it benefits her if your dog succeeds in show, being the breeder. CONGRATS!! |
