See this face>>>>> I will say that when I do on occasion have puppies (which is not often) the prices range from 1000-2000 depending on each dog. All puppies I have produced are either Champion sired, or the males are working towards their championships currently. I only breed for myself (selfish I know..lol) and spare no expense with health and genetic testing on the puppies and their parents, socialization, top of the line foods and supplements, as well as LOVE. They start out from quality parents, and a lot of thought and research goes into planning each litter. It's hard to put a price on that.[/QUOTE]  That is me the "dognapper" watch out......I live close to you Becki.....LOL.... |
LOL uh oh! :) |
Badger is a pure-breed Ozmilion dog. His grandfather won Best in Show at Crufts and his great-grandfather was Ozmilion Dedication (officially considered to be the best example of breed of all time). I paid £2,500 for him and had to sign legal papers saying I would not show him and would neuter him by the age of one year |
I paid $650 for Lola with her papers. Her breeder was a vet so I think she could charge less. I thought the prices were crazy high when I started looking, but now the cost seems so trivial! |
I paid 500.00 for chester in nov 02, I got him from someone i knew and he has papers. I thought that was alot of money at the time, but he is worth triple that. |
I paid $1500 for little Buddy - the females were $1700 - this is in the Bay Area where everything is expensive. I looked really closely and this breeder seemed really excellent - shows her dogs, etc. and had all the right answers about her breeding. I also signed the contract saying that I wouldn't show him and that he would be neutered by one year - no papers (AKC - Dad is champion) until I send proof of neuter. But I am not worried about papers, just thought it would be fun to get them. But you know, Buddy has been sick on and off since I got him, and he has food allergies - so I don't know if I agree with "you get what you pay for" - I have easily spent thousands already on vet bills! I think you just never know... |
$2000 for Tila she has AKC papers and such and had a few shots already |
I paid $350 for Diva. She was born with a supposedly unusable hind leg, it looked like a flipper when she tried to walk or move it. I bought her from a BYB, and not a good one, before I knew anything about goodand bad breeders. I never registered her, I don't care about it. I paid $1600 for her leg surgery at 10 weeks and she is perfect and you would never know she ever had a leg problem. She is wonderful! I am prepared to pay much more for my next Yorkie now that I know they are worth more then i will ever pay! |
Too Much $ My male Artie was $2,950.00, plus shipping $250.00 and he came with ear mites, a respitory infection, infested with fleas & tapeworms and had never been groomed or nails ever clipped @ 20 wks. old. But after his initial Vet. visit..... is now strong as an Ox, an absolute "Angel", a dream to train and understands every word & emotion. The Best dog I ever had so far?:aimeeyork I did get re-imbursed by his Breeder for the Vet. costs of $1,300.00. My female Abigail, the Breeder was asking $2,000.00, I ended up paying $1,000.00 since I had the cash on me. She was also the largest one in the Litter and she was fighting too much with her Mother and the rest of the puppies. Thank goodness they were gifts.....Artie for my "Birthday" present 2 yrs. ago and Abi for "Easter" last year. Otherwise I would not have been able to afford them. If some thing ever happened to one of them I would not be able to replace them. They are both AKC. Registered and micro-chipped. Both have incredible champion bloodlines. Luckily I got to keep them after we split-up! The Best thing I got out of my 6 yr. relationship?:p |
You all are going to die. Gracie cost me a big $32.00. She had an eye ulcer which is perfectly fine now and the kennel could not paper her. |

holly was $1500.00 with limited papers. That price included shipping and she came to me with all her puppy and rabies shot too. SO my first vet bill wasnt bad at all. SHE was extremely healthy, so I was very lucky :):) :) |
