| You know what I don't understand... is why men sometimes are so dumbfounded on how much dogs are going for now a days. My husband thinks he can find a Yorkie for $350.00 or cheaper. (boy does he have something to learn) and my friend's husband was shocked to see his wife spent $550.00 on their maltese. I've seen on here also where women are begging to find a yorkie for cheap cuz their men won't let them spend much.

| Hobbs was $850 with AKC papers. But we got him neutered and never turned in the $15 to get the papers in our name. We figured that it was pointless since we aren't breeding him. We mainly wanted a dog who was advertised as "registered" just to make sure we were getting a pure bred yorkie. We are getting another yorkie, Hootie, from Hobbs' same parents in July! The puppy is "registered" but it won't matter to me if we ever get the papers because him/her will be fixed. The breeder told us we could pay $850 for him/her (we haven't decided yet if we want a boy or girl), but I think that if our financial situation is in check that we will give the breeder $1000 mainly because she has really saved us a lot of time and the headache of shopping for a yorkie by saving us one from this litter. |

| I have to say that since I started looking for a Yorkie, I have spent HOURS on the computer! I think my husband may be willing to spend more just to get me to stop spending all night on the computer! It's just hard to justify to myself since I don't want to show the dog. |

| In my area, I would expect to pay Almost $1800.00 to $2500.00 for a quality AKC reg female. I have seen less expensive ones but they are not available very often... |
