| ![]() I would advise you to call the Yorkie Rescue in your area ASAP! If you call other agencies, you might have to be prepared to give them up. Of course, you can always work around that. I would NOT say in the newspaper that they are Yorkies but would say they are small mixed breeds or something similar. The real owners will take issue with those statements and make a fuss. Someone just wanting to get them for the wrong reasons will jump on the Yorkie ad right away and it will be harder to identify the REAL owners. Also, do not give your address in the ad..... Has there been a mill or BYBer raided in your area recently? They might have gotten away from such a place and should not go back.... I would be VERY suspicious of anyone trying to claim them. But remember, they are not your animals and if a crook wanted to, they could say you took them from their property. Please have your vet give you enough Frontline or similar product for your dog and the others. There are gonna be fleas just because the one has them..Treat them and crate them for a few hours til all the fleas are dead or follow your vet's instructions...They are so lucky to have found you. There might be some grieving owner somewhere and maybe they have learned a lesson about watching their babies... |

| ![]() We found an owner of the female yorkie. She was able to identify the bracelet that was on the front right leg. As for the other two, if I can't find the owners in about a month, I think I'm going to give them to my 2 sisters. They wanted one for years but have been unable to afford one and besides, one Buttercup is all I can handle right now Last edited by xBUTTERCUPx; 05-20-2006 at 07:39 PM. |

| ![]() This seems very confusing to me. You found three stray yorkies in the same general area and an owner has claimed one but doesn't know anything about the other two? It seems really odd that unrelated yorkies would be running loose near each other. Did the owner say how her yorkie got there? Like, did it escape her yard? Very odd.

| ![]() But strange things have been known to happen! I am so happy you found one owner, and I hope that the other two also show up. I know I would be frantic if my baby disappeared like that. ![]() You were very nice to pick them up! But I can't imagine catching them, lol!! When my kids don't want to be caught, it's near impossible to get them!! ![]()

| ![]() A) if their original owners really wanted/cared about them, why were 3 of them IN THE STREET? B) a metal chain? for a yorkie?!? C) if even one of them had fleas then obviously it wasnt being taken care of appropriately. D) if they dont have tags or microchips then you cant really be sure who they originally belonged to. please. please. please. do not give them to just anyone. and honestly if i were you i wouldnt give them to anyone who calls. if you cant be 100% sure of their owners then PLEASE contact a rescue. or give them to someone on this forum. if they've gone through the trouble of posting on this forum, then they probably really care about the breed. just please dont give them to just anyone. rescues are wonderful organizations. |

| ![]() Wow, that all does seem strange. My guess is the one with the fleas and ticks does not belong with the other two, or they would all have them. |

| ![]() Another thing to think about... is maybe the yorkies were stolen somewhere else and got loose from the thieves. I don't think the thieves would want to come forward to try to claim them ..thinking it might be a trap to arrest them. It's still sad that someone's babies are missing. I hope you find the owners of the other 2. |
