Does anyone have Does anyone have a petdoor in their storm/screen door? I'm thinking of getting a storm door with a pet door in it, and was just wondering if anyone else had one and if they liked it?

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i have one for my cat but it doesn't go outside. It leads from my room to the laundry room (where his box is) so i don't have to keep the door open all the time. my room and the laundry room are in the basement so if i keep that door open it will be cold. no problems with it. and it has a divider that can be slid in so it can't be used. |

My parents had a doggie door for their yorkie, but she was too scared to go through it. So, it was never used. I think it depends on your yorkie's personality. Do you think she'll use it?

Doggie Door I have a doggie door in my wall that leads out onto a double deck. All 3 of my doggies love it and use it to sun themselves on the deck while I'm at work. My 4 month old yorkie, Dylan just got big enough to use it. I never even encouraged him to use it as he is so small but he saw the other two using it. I had to put chicken wire around the whole deck as it is quite high and I didn't want him to fall. Now if he would just use it every time he has to go potty instead of 50% of the time. Ah well, he's doing pretty good for a baby. Do you have a fenced yard or deck?

I just have a pet door in the wall that leads to a secluded patio for my Yorkies and they all love it. I did build a small ramp on the outside and covered it with that fake grass. This wouldn't be possible with one in a door so I would see how high the drop off is going to be on the outside and make your decision based on your dogs size and bravery.
