Max has "Dragon-breath" Sorry Max...... His breath could be used as a weapon of social destruction I have tried professional cleaning, brushing, doggie breath mints......And it would still stop a bull elephant at 20 yards Do any of you have any suggestions? I am now trying antibiotic drop 2-3 times a week. They work as long as I am using them...but I hate the thot of doing this for the rest of his life. I don't want him to lick anyone.....because I will have to revive them. Thanks, Max's Mom

Bad Breath I don't know much about what causes the bad breath, but I switched Gracie's food one time and after I did her breath started to smell bad, it also gave her bad GAS So I switched back and her breath stopped smelling so stinky.

Thats true, their food has alot to do with what their breath smells like.Whilst I was giving Jessie canned food, her breath was awful..she also had terrible gases and very smelly poop.I wondered what was going on because Ladys breath has never been bad,not even when she was teething. So I asked her vet what to do and he suggested I stop giving her the canned. She was also on dry food,so it was just a matter of not leaving the canned food out.The problem cleared up withing a day Now we can enjoy her kisses without our eyes watering..lol.

| I have the same problem with Julie, her breath smells like pure fish, it's nasty, I just brush her teeth 2x's a day so I won't have to smell it. She is on mighty dog wet food and royal canin dry food, but she prefers the wet I can't take it away because my girl is only 3 lbs and too tiny to allow to go without eating. Have you tried the daily brushing, I know it's a pain in the rear to do, but it works.

Greenies are also good for their breath! I believe the doggy breath mints we give Yoda are called Yip-Yaps. You could try that as well, in addition to a change of diet, of course.
