| Holes in baby teeth Emmy is teething right now and I seem to be finding a lot of her baby teeth. Two of them have now come out with holes in them. They are perfect little holes and they are not dark colored around them. I see she's had some plaque on them too. Are those holes like cavities? I'm nervous now that her baby teeth are coming out like that, that she is going to have bad teeth as an adult! She chews LOTS of rawhide bones, pieces of milkbones as treats sometimes, and dental bones. I don't want the baby to have bad teeth! :-( -Ashley & Emmy |

| That's interesting. I never find the baby teeth, I think they must swallow them. |

| Some of Topher's teeth that I've found have also had holes. I've just assumed that it's where the adult tooth has pushed through. I'm not a dental expert, but this is just what I surmised. |

| I can't offer any advice on the holes because I never found any of Maddie's baby teeth. I did want to tell you about something I'm using on Maddie. It is called Life For Teeth. I just spray it in Maddie's mouth once a day. She never has had tartar and it seems to be keeping her from getting it. My sister started using it on her dog who did have plaque and tartar and it's not completely gone yet, but there's a great improvement and she's only been using it a couple of weeks. There is also brush away gel and I use that now and then to brush her teeth. Here's the site if you'd like to check it out! I highly recommend it and am hoping it will keep Maddie from ever getting bad teeth! http://www.beyondbeds.com/index.asp?...ource=Petzlife

| if the holes are at the base of the tooth then it's probably like human baby teeth .... just the space where the root was. probably nothing to worry about. If it was from bad teeth then they would probably be chipped and cracked instead of holes.

| Thanks so much!! I didn't think it was because she had bad teeth already but I wanted to see if anyone else out there had noticed it on their babies. I'm going to look into that spray too, thanks for the info! :-) -Ashley & Emmy |
