Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Vet Charges $$$ Would anyone be willing to share what they had to pay for having their furbaby spayed or neutered. How about teeth cleaning and extraction. I just had a quote for Jack for cleaning/one extraction and the price will be $256. I have nothing to compare it to. Will be getting Jill spayed when she is old enough so I would like to know the cost. We had Jack neutered at the "Neuter Scooter" so it was very reasonable. Thank you.

| We got Sully neutered at our local vet's in Tennessee (where we lived at the time) for right under $50 bucks. I think spaying is usually more expensive than neutering, though. And I know we got a really good price b/c the clinic specialized in spay/neuters that the community could afford. They did a GREAT job though and everyone that worked there doted on Sully.

| How ironic to see this post, I have a boy at the vet right this moment having a dental done. It's going to be 100 total. But that's with my "discount". I tend to keep that place in business I think, LOL (this is a cleaning and teeth extraction) Last edited by yorkiemom1970; 04-27-2006 at 05:16 AM. |

| The isoflurane induction (anesthesia) was 26.75, each tooth was 9.56 x 4 teeth, for a total of 64.99, no tax here in Texas done 10/31/05. Spaying for my Alaskan Malamute was about 85.00 (she's over 100 pounds). |

| To have Topher neutered will be $250.00 and he has to have some teeth extracted also while he's under. I would imagine that my total bill with all the taxes (15%) will be around $400.00. It seems to be alot more expensive in Canada. We take our cat to the vet in Michigan, which is 5 minutes from us and they are so much cheaper. I know that to spay or neuter there is under $100.00. The vaccinations there are about 1/4 of the cost of vaccinations in Canada. I'd take Topher there but I wanted to have a Canadian vet in case of evening or weekend emergencies. |

I just found my bill for the Malamute spaying it was 119.50, not 85.00. Rabies is 14.00, plus 8.00 for city registration. | |

| Colorado rate Hi. I just got a quote for spaying and it was $160!! Neutering was $150. That seems so high to me (?). It really seems to vary from state to state. Kaitlyn Bruno |

| Aggie was just spayed a week ago. The vet charged $190 for the operation. $30 for three teeth extraction. $40 for microchipping. The total bill was $260. I thought it was very reasonable. A family friend had paid nearly $600 for spaying AND the vet told her he had given her a discount. What a rip off. We live in the same town. She's switched to mine. |

| Southern CA price I just called my vet. They have a clinic on Wednesday's. They do almost everything for 1/2 price on clinic days. All shots are 1/2 price too. (Didn't ask how much each shot was, but most are around $8.00. To spay or nuter a dog 10 lbs and under is $60.00 on cllinic day. $120.00 on non-clinic day. Teeth cleaning is $90.00 and extractions are $15.00 per tooth. (No teeth done on clinic day.) It's no wonder more people don't get their dogs fixed seeing some of the prices most of you guys have to pay!! Seems like the further east you go, the more it costs!! And everyone says the cost of living in CA is expensive!! Or maybe, I just have a good vet!! Suz

| To have Ginger spayed and have four teeth removed cost $145. I think Ginger’s vet is a little more expensive than some others in town but I feel that it’s money well spent.
