| I'm so sorry that this little angel passed on. It sounds like she certainly touched the hearts of all who were in contact with her in her final days...what a special little gal she must have been! You did do all you could, and I know that you will find another little furbaby to love and nurture. I'm sure this little angel is in a wonderful place where she's free and happy and has no pain. I'm sure she knows now, too, that you were planning to take her home and she'll probably watch over you and guide you in your quest to help other pups...best of luck to you and I hope you'll stay with us here at YT, and keep us posted on your journey. |

| I am sitting here with tears in my eyes reading all these posts. I am truly sorry that this happened. Life is just not fair sometimes, but when God closes a door, he opens a window. You are one heck of a good human being. Please don't beat yourself to death with this situation. Any dog would be proud and happy to have you as a parent. I wish there were more people like you. Chin up!

I have been reading this thread...you did all you could. I am so sorry. I know you are hurting. You have to believe she is in a better place and that there is another yorkie out there you need to give a home to! ***Hugs***

| I am truly sorry for your loss. Please don't think of the "if only's". In her heart she knew she was loved, and she touched so many lives as you can see from your letter. I will say a prayer for you and your little girl lost. |

| Oh how sad... I am so sorry for the loss of the little one you had your heart set on. I believe all things happen for a reason. You would have spent many hard earned dollars trying to make a mortally ill pup better. But as David says, he looks forward to working with you in the future. I have a feeling there is a yorkie out there waiting for you.

| You did all you could. You are a very caring person and I only wish she could have came to live with you sooner. That is no fault of your own, just crazy shelter rules. You should feel proud of yourself not guilty. I'm extremely sorry!!! |

| Thanks everyone for the kind words. The Yorkietalk.com community has a lot of caring and thoughtful people. I will be adopting another homeless dog in honor of her at some point and now that I know more about the Yorkie breed I know these are great dogs. Today would have been the end of the hold time for her. I have a request: Give your Yorkie an extra hug today...

| I am so sad that she passed away, Georgie and I prayed everyday that she would be able to come home with you and be loved. We will continue to pray for you, and hope that you will be able to rescue another dog soon.

I have been following this all week and waiting for your "adoption day". I feel so bad for you because you were obviously already ready for the little yorkie to come to your home..... I am so impressed with your commitment to help the little pup, realizing that you were probably in for a lot of health issues due to neglect......what a shame that the system made you wait 1 day to long.... God bless your heart..... | |

| Thanks so much for the supportive and kind words. I am thinking of getting another Yorkie in honor of my lost almost-adopted Yorkie friend. I will keep an eye out at the local shelter (they post pics online) as getting one from animal control may help save a dog's life. Reading the other threads here and other information in preparing for the original adoption has led me to think there may be a Yorkie in my future after all. Maybe one will show up at animal control soon. I will check daily. What is also interesting in all this is that my Maltese knows I am saddened by the loss of the shelter Yorkie...I am giving him extra reassurance that everything is ok but he knows something is up. Dogs are amazing animals...I know the one I was going to adopt held out as long as she could, but when the time came she knew it was time to go to a better place. She did her best...
