| She is too small to be bred and its even worse that your male is larger than she is!!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I would talk to your vet she is very small and the male is bigger than her. Besides probably being harder on her with a collapsed trachea you don't want to breed that defect into new puppies.

| bitch If this was a recent breeding..why not have her spayed now and not make her go through this risky pregnancy? Do you know that many Yorkies with trach problems develop heart problems? |

| was the breeding on purpose? i think if it was recent like pat said you should have her spayed. it seems too risky to have her go through this and im sure you dont want to put her in any uneccessary danger

| You already have several strikes against you: 1) female under 5 pounds 2) larger male 3) age of female 4) collapsed trachea It is possible to terminate a new pregnancy; however, it is also possible that all will be fine. If you do decide to continue with the pregnancy keep in close contact with a vet and have the money saved for a C-section and read every article you can find about caring for pregnant Moms, pregnancy and whelping. When people are advising termination it's just that they love their dogs (and yours too) and know you are taking a risk of losing the Mom. |
