| She looks all yorkie to me! One of my girls had very coarse hair as a pup and I swear- her coat just didn't grow. I was just like you, all worried about whether or not it would ever grow. She was about 8 months old before she started getting any length to her coat. Since then it has grown like crazy! Now it is a nice, shiny, silky gorgeous coat. CKC gets a bad rep- although they will register a litter from two registered different breeds, it states on the certificate that these are not purebred dogs. If your registration certificate states "Purebred" you don't have anything to worry about. |

| Wow, Kammie looks like your Yorkie. She was born Nov. 15th. I took her to the groomer for the first time last week. She trimmed her feet, tail and underside, and face. Now she doesn't have to look thru all the hair on her face. She also had her nails trimmed. She looks more grown up and her eyes look beautiful. I have a friend who has a Yorkie with a cottony coat. It is really long at 9 months but always looks oily or matted even after she gets home from the groomer. Her coloring doesn't seem quite right either. They have made comments about Kammie's hair being coarse and theirs being soft. Well, I've been reading about the hair that is coarse or wiry when they are pups, and looks like it may not grow longer as fast but, it will be silky and will not tangle and matte easily. It also will be more likely to achieve its proper color. The husband has even made the same comments about Kammie being a mutt. Well, maybe We'll have the last laugh with a more managable coat that reflects the light better! |

| Abigail's hair sounds like your yorkie. When she is clean and for few days after until she gets dirty her hair is really silky. She is almost 2 years old and I am still trying to get her hair to grow out. I had her groomed once and I trimmed her ends twice less than a inch each time. And her hair is still not even half way to the floor yet hardly. So I wouldn't worry if I was you. |

| Here are a couple of pictures I took of Kammie today while we were outside. Her hair is just barely past her stomach. I don't know if the picture shows it but her head is starting to get really silver. The new silver hair is silky. |

| YT Addict | My 4 month old female looks just like yours. I have been worried about her hair also. My last litter had a very heavy coat and so did her sister. She don't look anything like her sister. She looks almost exactly like yours. I will send pics soon. |

| Your Gracie looks like my Romeo!!! Romeo has shorter dry hair that hasn't grown very fast and he is almost 9 months old. I was told Romeo might be a red legged yorkie but his hair is starting to grow now that I started him back on Solid Gold Seameal. You might try that. You never know but she is beautiful!!! The thing I like about Romeo's hair is it grows back away from his face and I have saved a lot on him with grooming since he needs no haircut anytime soon and he is easy to wash...I think of it as a benefit of having him...besides all the yorkie kisses he gives (he can kiss you silly, lol). If you have any questions about the seameal feel free to ask me! :-) ~Tru

| I think all your puppies have more hair than my little Dylan. He is 4 months old today. I can tell that my little guys hair has grown since I got him at 8 weeks especially on the top of his head but why isn't his hair on his legs growing? He also has very little hair on his chest (it's almost bare). No wonder he is so cold blooded. His hair is very soft but the hair on his torso looks almost dry. Is he a red legged yorkie? His legs are a pretty deep red color. |

| She is very cute. I think she looks like a purebred Yorkie and I think her coat is just fine for 5 months. Don't worry so much about what she will look like as an adult that you miss enjoying how she is as a baby. The baby stage goes by way too fast to want to hurry through it. |

| YT Addict | Dylan looks a lot like my Abby too. Her hair is really strange. The top of her head is really long and the undercoat is blue and the outer coat is more silver. She wore the hair off where i had a halter on her. She kept scratching her back and the hair left is a dark blue. She is 5 months old and i think she is going to be georgeous. "fingers crossed". She is changing daily and i can't wait to see what she grows up to be. lol. I love her regardless. Her hair on her body is about an inch long now. The top of her head is about two inches. I can get a bow in it. She can get it out too. |

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | Here is a pic of my Gracie who passed away 9 years ago at the age of 6 1/2. She had a sparse coat when she was a puppy. Here is a pic of her at about 3 years old. I had her groomed every 4 weeks by a professional groomer. So their coats do come in eventually.
