| Bless the Beasts I have heard rave reviews on Bless the Beasts hair products for cottony type coated dogs and how well they keep the coat from matting. I wonder if anyone had anything to say about these products for a yorkie. I will be ordering some soon for my maltese but just wondered how it works for silky coated dogs. Anybody have experience with these products? IF so which products do you use? Thanks so much! |

| I did try the Bless the Beasts products for Tatum - she has a real silky coat - and it really didn't do anything for her. I just didn't notice anything special. We now use the Chris Christensen products. Are you familiar with those? We use the Day to Day shampoo and conditioner and the Ice on Ice spray. I also use the liquid Infusium leave-in stuff before I comb right after the bath. After she's blow-dried, I spray her with the Ice on Ice and give her a final brushing. It's also great to use for daily (or whenever) brushings since it's not good to brush them dry. There's my opinion but all dog's coats are different. Seems like I tried a dozen before landing on these products. Good luck!

| I bought it and love it. My little VeeBee had matts all over him. No matter what I did, they came back in floods. Since using the shampoo and conditioner, no problems. I use the detangling shampoo and the conditioner. |

| i use bless the beast on my yorkie. the shampoo is great--there coat is shiny and smells good. i even used it on my basset hound and after 2 months he still smells good. the shine gel that comes with the bless the beast helps when your combing your dog. it's real greasy at first, but then it just feels real soft. i still have to comb my yorkie every day because right at the skin is where the hair gets matted. i use a brush and hair dryer and his hair is mat free. i got bless the beast at QVC.com. there is 2 kinds--i think 1 is for shine and 2 is for itchy dry skin. it also comes with a spray. the spray makes him smell better, but i noticed if i do it everyday he gets dry skin flakes. |

| I bought the Bless The Beast Puppy Shampoo & love it on Kodah's hair. I'm not sure what type hair she is going to have - I don't think it's going to be the silky type but more of the cottony type - who knows - no mats yet, though. After using this shampoo, she seems to be able to go longer without looking so oily! |

| cottony type---what is that, i thought all yorkies had that long silky hair that could grow to the ground if you let it. i won't be since i have a boy alexander, he will be getting the puppy cut when his hair grows out some more. he's only 4 months. his hair though is growing so fast. i just took him to the groomers 3 weeks ago to do his feet and the inside of his ears and his bangs and around where i live in Mocksville, NC it was only $15. so i can take him as often as needed, but do you ever trim under his tail area? alexander is constantly getting his hair there dirty and smelly, and he does not like me washing him with a towl down there, so i can't amagine trimming him down there. what do you do? |

| i'VE taken my yorkies to Petsmart for the "sanitary cut". It keeps them poop and smell free down there. My normal groomer doesn't do it (don't know why) so when they need it I go to pet smart. It's the only thing I let them do at pet smart though. I like my groomer! She only charges me 20 to 30 dollars to bathe, trim, cut nail, ear plucking etc..Pet Smart charges around 8 bucks for the sanitary cut, if I remember right.
