Abbie'smom~I just saw that we are both in Virginia. Maybe if you can tell me where your at, I can bring Yogi over there with his sign...since I already know of one person in that area that is partial to Yorkies!! I agree!! You have to have a sense of humor even in the roughest times. Life's too short!! Yes, vet bills can get pricey. But my vet is really good about giving me a price quot before I bring Yogi in. So, like, yesterday, for example. I took him in for is 12 week check. He goes back in 3 weeks for his next check. They gave me a run down of what that bill will be in 3 weeks. So we can get some sort of idea what to set aside. But even if anything "unplanned" comes up, we can pay for it, one way or another. This breeder was actually referred to me by someone in my hubby's hometown who has gotten a pup from her in the past. The breeder did give me the vet number and some references. We did a lot of research on her before we got Yogi but at the time that we were ready to get Yogi, she didn't have any. So I feel comfortable purchasing from her. I think her price is so low because she is more hobby and small time breeding. She doesn't advertise on the net. She knows how much she can get for her if she was in it for the money. She just loves her furbabies and wants to help others get their own babies. Melanie

Vet bills... I just got Chance in Feb. and since Jan. I have shelled out over 3000.00 for my Remmy who became ill very unexpectedly. I never imagined that would happen to me...but it did. And god works in mysterious ways cuz I got a bonus at work. Did not cover the whole 3000.00 but is sure helped. That doesn't cover what I have spent for Chance since we got him in Feb. But I'd spend whatever I had to make Remmy well.

Okay. So I just found out that the breeder does accept paypal!! She doesn't advertise but she does have an account. I could so use my card and put the deposit down and then make payments until she's ready in the middle of May. Oh my gosh. I could be getting a baby girl!! Now, I just have to work on my husband. He wanted another puppy but didn't think it would happen anytime soon. Maybe I should start off with...Honey, guess what? I'm pregnant and it's twins!! Then he will be happy when I just tell him we are getting another dog or speechless so he can't object!!

I hope you get your baby. However some vet bills are manageable, some aren't. My little girl has cost us close to 9,000 dollars since November. Yes, you read that right Some things happen that you can't forsee. Good luck
