Found the baby girl I want. I had to post where people might understand my frustration!! URRRR!!! I found the baby girl I want soooo bad!! She's AKC registered and only $800!!!!! She will be ready on May 15. But just having paid for Yogi...money is soooo tight! I just have to find a way to get that baby!! Anyway, Just had to post. Anyone have any creative ideas on a way I can come up with 800 bucks? ;) Melanie |
Have a garage sale, have a bake sale??? I dont know just some ideas! |
ebay?? You have the opposite dilema as me...I have the money for a Biewer but I can't convince my husband it's the right time to get her. Men  Good luck...I hope you find the funds for your new baby! |
a part time job until Maty 15th. A kind Family member to loan you the money and pay them back a 100 a month. Clean friends and or relatives houses for money. Just ideas |
I completely understand. I agree, there may be something that you don't need that you can sell on ebay. Or a garage sale. Or even borrowing the money from someone you trust. If that doesn't work, you can always get a part time job. Or work out some type of payement plan with the breeder. Good luck! |
A payment plan would be wonderful!! I just don't think that breeders do payment plans. She lives in the same town that my in-laws live in. It's small and really country. We are going there for Easter so am hoping I can go by and see the pup. I don't have much faith that she will allow payments...but if God wants me to have this baby girl, then I will!! Thanks for all the ideas, guys! I do work from home and can take as much and as little work as I want. So I have the ability to make the money...just don't have it right now and I'm afraighd that she's gonna be snatched up!! :( |
Sell things on ebay or even on here. That will help out a bit. |

You say money is tight...if you manage to get together the cash will you be able to afford the vet bills?? I just took my new baby to the vet today for her first checkup and walked out with a bill of $100! I guess all I'm saying is you'll probably be able to get the money to buy them but dogs are a lifetime of expense..and of course immesurable love! Sorry if this sounds harsh just trying to be realistic. Good luck! |
Wow what a vet bill. My vet is really reasonable. When Cooper went for his 1st couple of checkups and his shots it was only 20. 00. The last time we went it was 60.00 and that included a years supply of heartworm pills. Since the weather is getting nicer have a yard sale. |
Ask the breeder if you can put a deposit on her, so no one else can snatch her up, then you have a month to come up with the rest. :) |
Abby'smom~you crack me up!! I like the sign idea!! After all, Yogi is the one that gets the most (actually ALL) the attention when we are out!! I know that we can afford another pup to take care of, financially, medially and emotionally. I think, and some people may disagree, but it is easier for us to come up with 100 or 200 than it is to come up with one large sum, like 800, at one time. If anything arose for Yogi or any other future furballs in our family, medically or otherwise, we have the means and way to provide only the utmost care for our dogs. I just meant that coming up with a lump sum at once is a little difficult right now. I was actually just browsing and came across this breeder and to see an AKC female for 800 is rare. I don't even want to breed. I just thought it would be nice to have a playmate for Yogi and since my hubby has taken Yogi all for himself :p, I thought Yogi would be my dog, but nope. Him and my hubby are best buds and I just feed them! :) |

Vet bills!!!! I think few of us bought our little Yorkies and, at the same time, had money to put aside for vet bills. I didn't. In fact, I paid more for my little pup than I expected to. But -as the vet bills roll along (only normal bills so far) -- I manage to pay for them. And - if ever a "huge" vet bill should happen (and, believe me this has happened to me several times in my life) --- I have always muddled through those too. But - luckily these "big unexpected bills don't happen to most of us or at least not often." So - you just go ahead and get your little puppy and find some way to pay for it.....and, then you'll fall so completely in love that you'll beg, borrow, steal, get a second job, or mortgage your house if you need to to keep her healthy and well. Hope you're getting a good-sized, healthy, little girl that eats well. This will help keep you from getting a lot of those vet bills that so many of us worry about. Carol Jean |
Thanks so much for the encouraging words and support Carol!! I will try to do anything I can to get this baby!! Miss cat ears~thanks for the idea. I will try to contact her and see if she'll do something like that with a contract. Again, thanks to all for the support and awesome ideas on how I can get my new baby!! The breeder did say that she is expecting another litter at the end of this month...so if I can't figure out a way to get this baby girl then maybe I can get enough together in a few weeks to put a deposit down!! Thanks all! I knew someone would understand.... |
