| We Got Our Rabies Shot Today. Well, not "we", just Baby. Anyway, in New Jersey it's the law that all dogs must have their rabies shot, so we went today. The vet gave her a 1 year shot. In 1 year she goes back to get the 3 year shot. Now, she DIDN'T EVEN FEEL the shot today! <---me being happy. But...is the 3 year shot the one that really hurts?

| I really don't think they feel shots much. If you think about it, the reason humans are so afraid of shots is they see them comming. Needles are really sharp and cause so little tissue damage that they are almost painless. I don't think I have had a dog or cat even blink an eye while getting a shot.

| My pup got his three-year rabies shot a couple weeks ago - and didn't even know he got it. Actually - I have never had any of my dogs complain with any of their shots over the years. Carol Jean |

| I was really worried about the rabies shot with Seary because she was so small. My vet told me that actually the rabies shot is much better than any of the other shots that our pups get. She told me that with all of the other vaccines, they are injected with a live vaccine, but with the rabies shot, it's a dead one, so it's much easier on their systems. It made me feel better, and Seary was just fine, you coulcn't even tell she got a shot like you could with all the other ones.

| I think the rabies shot is the worst of the shots. Jewels had a small reaction to it. She also had a reaction to the bordatello.

| Can you tell me what kind of reaction she had to the bordatello? My baby had hers today and she screamed bloody murder. Now it is 4 hours later and she has yelped a couple times and is very subdued is this normal? Thank you |

I think that the injection spot is sore. She yelped too when we picked her up and accidentally touched the spot. She wasn't sore from the rabies shot, though.

| When Princess got her three year shot, I don't think she even felt it. But she did get a trip to the store for a new toy

I took Baby to the store too yesterday! My mom said, "If you're a good girl at the doctor, Mommy will buy you a surprise." LOL

| Oscar had the works today...Rabies, yearly boosters and Bordatello nasal vaccine. He is laying around and not being his normal self at all. He did fine at the vet but has really slowed down since. He has not eaten so I fixed him some soft scrambled eggs and cottage cheese. He ate a little of that and went back to sleep...I will watch him pretty close thru the night. I don't remember him acting like this last time. I am sure he is fine tho. With these vaccines you just never know.
