| ![]() i didn't take it into consideration that in some states $2000 is the average price it just irritates me that SOME not all but some people join and advertise the "rare" "micro t-cup" and things like that then tack on the $$$ simply b/c they are trying to make a buck of what is nothing more than a small yorkie rather than the "standard 7lbs" i think it bothers me the most b/c before i joined YT i didn't know there was no such thing as a t-cup or miniture yorkie and lots of others don't know so when there told, well this puppy is so expeniseve b/c its a t-cup or it's rare, so they think its ok to spend that much money |

| ![]() J/M/O but if you did a poll I think that you would find that most of the members on the Forum have not purchased a puppy from a fellow memebr of the forum. Regardless of if they hold this other member in high regard. Sure it would be nice to think that a a member of the forum has bought one of your kids because of Yorkie Talk but it isn't going to happen. I have posted on the for sale page- got a lot of interest- just like others many folks just like to look- they are not wanting to really buy. Nothing wrong with that. I do not see anything wrong with listing your puppies/adults in other listings. You may be a loving and responsible breeder. All of your babies may be spoken for-my reasoning is- if you do not let others know about you- the only folks they are going to see are some of the puppymills and breeders that I keep hearing we should not buy from. To me this is a small step to giving the public another option at finding a nicely bred, healthy baby. The more they see of the good guys we can do pr work to try and educate the public and hurt the bad breeders in the pocket book. If the bad breeders are the only one who advertise and are seen folks will buy their babies. |

| ![]() My first post on this forum was a pups for sale post. I usually have some people on a waiting list for puppies, but we don't have them that often(though this is going to be a busy year) so I try to locate other pups for them so they don't have to wait very long for one of mine. Then boom, we had 7 pups in a week so I let whispersmoms know that I had more pups than people waiting. She told me about this forum and now there are two YT members that have my pups. My pups aren't cheap, but well within what they should be priced for high quality healthy pups in this area. I try to participate daily on the forum and enjoy the info and advice that is posted here. If breeders only post here to sell pups, they are missing out on the good stuff. poor them. |

| ![]() I would rather have a breeder post here, that way the chances of the pups getting a really good home are better! Also, we have each other so we can sometimes find out if the breeder is legit or not. If I ever had puppies I would put them here first thing for my YT friends to get them if possible because I would feel better knowing where they were and who had them and I could hear about them. If the ad seems outrageous no one seems to respond. I noticed though that if the pup really needs a home, people on here rally to find it one. I think that's awesome!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | ![]() hhhmmmm...I just finished posting on a cute puppy that's for sale - but what really bothered me was the price. FOUR grand for a puppy just because it's tiny to me is outrageous. I saw someone justified the asking price of 4,000 saying very small yorkies should go to homes with money only - that seems VERY snobby and makes it harder for all of us who aren't rich. I think this rage over tiny's will get worse and there will be many people left heartbroken due people to breeding smaller and smaller to ask more money .... Eventually - there are going to be small yorkies with many health problems out there if everyone intentionally goes smaller. There is NOTHING wrong with an average size yorkie - no one can guarantee size and asking upwards of 2000 dollars is to me... price gouging. I'm all for breeders selling here - I think it's great...but wow have I seen some prices that blow my mind.

| ![]() Since I'm new here, I'm just glad it popped up again! I know I want a sibling for Dublin in the near future, and I would LOVE to get one from a YT regular. (since julz isn't giving up Mercedes- hehe!) I think I'd like a girl, and I'd like her to be about the same size as Dub. He's about 6lb at 20 weeks so I guess he'll be about or 7lbs so?? I have no interest in breeding or show, just want a healthy pup to add to my family. Are any of you from driving distance to NJ??

| ![]() Yep, me. I'm just west of Allentown in PA. I'm expecting two litters this year. The one due Aug 23rd is out of my Mom's Ele (Sylvan's Fair Helena) and she's a whopper, pups should range between 4-8lbs. If you want to be on the waiting list, you can e-mail me at sylvanyorkies@yahoo.com and I'll send you an app. I don't take deposits and they won't be ready to go until end of Nov. |
