| YT Addict | All my yorkies are pets. I think all these dogs need to be socialized and loved. Can't imagine putting them aside and just using them for breeding only. This sounds cruel. I don't let mine out of their crate all the time but i let them all out in my livingroom usually on my couch for snuggling and playing , they also get gated in my kitchen. I only have 5 yorkies and they are pretty much housebroken except for the 4month old pup which is almost housebroke. My two older girls get to run the house but the boys and the puppy have to stay in the kitchen unless i'm sitting on the couch playing with them, I usually keep them on a skedule and they have playtime and naptime, which is my time to clean. |

| That's something I look for in a good breeder is if they're dogs are pets, or just there to breed. In my opinion a good breeder loves her animals too much to treat them as anything other than pets. Honestly, if I had been the one buying our Tiger, and not receiving him as a gift, I would not have bought him. I met the breeders the other day when I went to go pick up his papers, and the woman who breeds doesn't allow any animals in her house. She does have a beautiful home, but come on! Now in their defense I saw Tiger's parents, and the kennel building is very nice -- heated, air conditioned, and clean -- but definately these animals are not pets. I found the visit disturbing, and had to keep biting my tongue not to give my opinion. I left as soon as I could politely do so. I'm just glad I won't have to deal with them in the future, and I got very lucky that Tiger is such a sweet boy.
