| Those posts were for a gal who was thinking of getting a very short x-pen or maybe the taller one.... I said taller! I am still using the Big Crate.... It takes up as much room as the x-pen did and folds down just as easy as the x-pen did.... But whats nice is it has the heavy molded plastic pan in the bottom to protect my hard wood floors! A nice feature if you ask me! Its come in handy on more than one occasion! With two girls, they can get into some serious wrestling matches and they don't seem to care where the pee pad is.... they will roll in it! Gross! They cant get out no matter what! Its a nice to have that peace of mind! its also fun to see the looks on peoples faces when they come over for the first time and see it! They immediately start looking around for the St. Barnard! lol

| I had my pup in a child's playpen when I first got him -- with the mesh sides. He go out of that immediately - 8 weeks old. And, I, like you, was worried about his hurting himself. The climbing part would have been okay - but the dropping over on the other side was what worried me. Carol Jaen |

| Okay well thanks you guys for all the funny stories and advice on my Yorkie escaping. Last night when I got home from work I had to run an errand so I put Murphy back in his X-pen and put a card board top on the crate just thinking it would deter him - ummmm NO! When I got home he had escaped again and this time he had chewed the card board top to pieces - I had a huge mess to clean - just great! Looks like I am going to have to invest in the actual top for the X-pen, huh? I think I will go get it on my lunch break today and take it home and HOPE he is still in there. I am telling you he is a little master of escape.
