| Will he stop marking??? Nikko is almost a year old (his birthday is April 29). He is driving me insane with his marking. i was wondering if I have him neutered will he stop his marking? I haven't done it sooner because I feel sorry for him and I didn't want to put him through that. My vet recommended that I neuter him but I worry about having him put under. Isn't it too late now that he has started marking for him to stop after having him neutered? I don't want to put him through all that for nothing.

| i think if he hasn't been doing it very long, it may not have become a permament habit yet and he MAY stop. but i don't think anyone will tell you having him neutered will guarantee that he'll stop marking. |

| Have him neutered and then when he comes home crate and retrain him. It will be a perfect time since he'll have his activity restricted the first week anyway. If all else fails invest in some belly bands. Good Luck! |

| Bailey had been marking for a little over 6-months when I got him fixed and since then he has not marked a single thing. I don't know if that is just luck or what but it is so nice to let him outside and he now squats, does his business and then right back inside, no more sniff sniff, hike, sniff sniff, hike lol.
