| Gale, I have used mane and tale on my maltese and baby shampoo my malt and yorkie, I sometimes alternate with one of those and a good quality dog shampoo. Mia's breeder actually recomended ThermaSilk. In addition to PetSilk I have also used Chrissy Systems. I will say that after bathing Mia in baby shampoo that she doesn't seem to look as shiney as long and her hair matted easier. Also wanted to tell everyone that I knew someone whom worked at a dog grooming salon that told me they use Palmolive dish liquid on all the dogs..I'm sure the clients don't know but it does make me wonder how many places use dish liquid and hide it from us. Then I was told by a lady I work with whom has a rescued Greyhound that Greyhound rescue told her to shampoo her dog with Palmolive..said it was great to keep fleas away. Has anyone ever heard that before? I just found it odd that 2 people mentioned palmolive as a dog shampoo.

Old Reliable Oatmeal Shampoo from Petco smells like a million bucks. Another important fact I have been told in the past: BEWARE of 8 in 1 Dog shampoos! I guess they are said to do brain damage on the dog :-(

Mink Sheen Pet shampoo has a nice smell and also helps keep insects at bay. It has mink oil, citronella oil, and cedar oil in it. I love the smell of the cedar. I have been using it for several years on my dogs, and I have tried a lot of different shampoos. This one seems to work on all my dogs, both the cotton ones and the silk ones that I show. I leaves a nice shine also. I have only found it on the internet at this site. http://www.touchofmink.com/catalog.asp?v=misc

Hey all!....I have'nt heard of the Palmolive, but I know a lot of people swear by Dawn dish liquid, and I found it surprising when I watched the Houston SPCA show that comes on-on the Animal Planet, they had a Huge thing of Dawn dish liquid sitting on side of the tub in the room where they were giving the dogs their bath. Someone on another forum suggested it to anyone who needed to get rid of fleas on their dogs..... Gale

I use Jeff Werber 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner for Cats & Dogs. Smells heavenly and makes Subi's hair really soft. I bought mine at Target for $6.49. Don't know if they still sell it. http://67.100.194.68/wellbeing/2in1.html

i use bless the beast, you can get it at QVC.com. it is like $30 something and you get the shampoo, spray, and this oily gel. my yorkie is sooo soft and i brush him while i have the hair dryer on him on low. it helps you to see the hair at the root where it is matted and the heat from the dryer and that gel, it combs right through it. the shampoo is very mild, i've wash him every 2 weeks and it doesn't seem to dry his skin. you don't have to get it at QVC, it's just that i order everything from QVC
