| Great Suggestion. Try to find its owner before you fall in love with it. I believe a Vet can find and read a Chip if she has one. Most likely the pups owner is close to you too. good luck

| Just think of it this way. If you find her owner you will feel really good about what a great thing you did, and if you don't, you have a new baby to love, and everyone on here loves to answer questions, so while you do have her, we are here for you, and in the event she becomes yours, we will be here for you then too. But please, make sure if you place the add for a found pup, make sure whoever calls identify's her WELL!! I don't want to scare you but my neighbor saw something on TV about people just collecting small dogs to use to train Pit Bulls to fight!?! |

| first: i would like to say that i hope if the person that little dog owns is looking for her that you find them. i am always afraid of loosing mine and someone keeping them. second: kitty that is awful, some people. that is my fear right there. glad that lady saw them with your kitty.one good thing about chipping them. third: using small dogs to train bull dogs, how sick. the fact that they use the bull dog in such an inhumane way is bad enough, now you just throw helpless little ones in to be eaten up. sick, sick, sick. another reason mine never go outside alone. people will take them right out of your yard. |

| She may look like she has been lost for a while but actually my yorkies can go from beautiful to looking lost for a while in a very short time, especially if it is wet out. It may only have been a matter of hours or a day or two and too soon for the owners to have placed a lost dog ad or put up posters.

| for your own piece of mind for your own piece of mind you should try everything in your power to see if someone is missing her. I'm sure you are hoping she is in need of a good home, and if she is- then I am sure she has just found one. But just think how you would feel if she were your baby that was missing... BTW- I know all my yorkies can run around in the grass, mud, weeds whatever they can find and look "homeless" in about 5 minutes time - so unless she is under-nurished, she may not be as "abandoned" as she looks. Let us know how this story turns out! Best wishes! |

| Yes I so totally agree with you. I would just die if my pup was lost. Please try to find the owner....Put yourself in that persons place....I'm sure you would be heartbroken aswell. Try everything everyone here has said. She probobly has a microchip.....If you can't then find the owner I guess you are entitled to give her a new home. But don't stop trying...Please... Quote:

| mommy4bbkl You so have the oppertunity to be a hero right now!!! I hope and pray that you find the owner.... I can only imagian how devistated her owner is at this very moment without her! These little guys are not just any dog, they are like children to us. Someone must be worried sick. Thank you for taking such good care of her! It will come back to you ten fold! And if you have grown to love this little dog... then maybe you too will have a yorkie of your very own someday... maybe sooner than you think! But do the hard thing this time.... Find this yorkies "parents", and you'll know what it really feels like to be the hero... Its the greatest feeling in the world! And if you never find them, you can at least look that little girl in the eye and know that you did everything you could! They can live for 15 plus years! Thats along time to carry guilt! Don't do that to yourself... Good luck!

| Try Craig's List also... It sounds like you are going to do everything possible to find this little ones rightful owner, and that’s so good of you! I’m not sure where you live, but you might also want to try posting in the pets and lost and found section on Craig’s List. I read in an article this morning that lots of folks are using the site as a lost and found forum with some favorable results. Might be just another tool to try and find the owners in addition to everything else you are doing. Here’s the article in case anyone is interested in checking it out: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12131061/ |

| It sounds like you're trying to find her home and that you'll take good care of the pup either way. Go ahead and give her a bath and take her to a vet. A vet should be able to answer your questions about neutering and give you a rough age. This will also make it easier for you to know what the owner should describe should they come looking for her. Good luck. I hope that it all works out for the best. |
