| does he know he's at the vet's? bunjee hates the vet. every time he goes there, he is either getting a shot, having surgery, or getting his blood drawn. not too pleasant experiences i suppose. so we haven't been back at the vet's in about a month. i took him back this past week to finish up his shots. well, he started to drag on the lead when we got to the front door. he kept jumping off the scale when i tried to weigh him. and when i picked him up to comfort him while we waited for our name to be called, he was just trembling in my arms. he just knows he's at the vet's again doesn't he.... my poor sensitive baby... it's for his own good. |

| I am sure they know. When I was younger my grandmother had a peke. Whenever he was in the car and we turned on a certain road towards the vet, he started whining and going nuts. I am sure he knew. Gypsy does not like riding in the car much cause mostly she has just went to the vet. She gets nervous in the car now.

| Yes they know when they are at the vets. Chachi had to go there often when he was being treated for mites. One time Chachi saw the Vet come back in the room with a shot and he shot into his crate. Another time when they got there my Husband tried to get Chachi out of his crate to give to the Vet Tech. Chachi lodged himself in the crate and would not come out. My Husband turned the crate upside down and was shaking it and Chachi still would not come out of there.

| My one little dog was the same way. She knew when we took a left turn (which was still four blocks away from the vet) that that was where we were going, and she start whimpering and shaking. Darn! I know the shots, etc., didn't hurt her -- but I think having her anal glands expressed was what hurt and made her afraid to go back. Carol Jean |
