THank you red98vett. I took this post too personally, Now I understand it was not directed to anyone here. Thank you for your writing. I have sent you a pm. |
Thank you for the warning, Kimberley you are on the ball girl  i have sat here many times wondering about donating to animals in need, but my guards went up after sending a gift in one of the exchanges to someone that never admitted to me that she recieved the goods, in fact she told someone else she recieved it, but she didnt have the time to post a Thank you note, because she just had a baby ( C'MON!! )... i put in a lot of effort and bucks into that package, i dont care for the money nor the effort, its all about fairness and IMHO its about MANNERS .... if it feels good ill send and help as far as i can, but ever since that incident, my feelers are up  |

And Chelsea...that DOES suck on the exchange...I don't know how some people can look in the mirror sometimes. It takes ONE minute to say a thank you to someone. |
thanks for the reminder! it's disgusting to think there are people out there ready and waiting to take advantage of the good natured, sympathetic, helpful ... but there are. i've seen it on other boards and it's sad because after the scam is up, it puts people on guard from helping those who are truly in need of assistance. it's a good reminder to all of us to stay helpful and generous when we can, but also be alert and cautious. oh... and the two litte words: "THANK YOU" goes a long way!!!! |

Admin helped me find out that they recieved it and they were just too busy to post but would shortly... did not happen. A week later they PMed me a thank you and said that they would be posting a public thank you with pics but never did. It was upsetting to see this member had time to often browse the threads but did not have a minute or two to say thanks. Also it was upseting as they had another one of their dogs signed up for the exchange and said a wonderful thank you to their other secret buddy but not us. Oh well, I hope that pup enjoys his gifts, thats the point of it all really, but why sign-up if you don't intent to do your part? Hugs to you Bettyeanne! |
Great thread Everyone ! Bumping up to read again. |
BREEZE...I'll say thank you FOR THEM....Thanks for all you are on this site and I bet you sent wonderful gifts - anyone would be lucky to have you as a gift exchange :) I don't buy that "I'm too busy to post" when someone has time to read on here AND sign up for another exchange. A simple thank you would go so far...and for that ...they get the CURSE. May they step in the BIGGEST TURD IN THEIR FAVORITE SHOES next time they go out. Hugs to YOU Breeze. :) that was for You and Bettyeanne :p |
 Villette .... I pray I never fall under one of your "curses"!! :) Ewwww .... a turd in my shoe? I will never cross you!! :p Seriously, I appreciate you so much! ;) Breeze, thanks for sharing that .... thought I was the only one! Now I know I was not alone!!! Hugs to you too! :) |
hahaha ...and Bettyeanne...we not talking about CUTE Yorkie turds here if you get my drift. :D |

WOW! It bothers me to read about the gift exchange receivees that never acknowledge the gifts. That is rude and very sad. :( A lot of thought goes into shopping and buying the gifts. Maybe admin could put in the gift exchange rules that you have to acknowledge the sender and give them a thank you thread. I know that if that were to happen to me, I\'d probably not participate in the next exchange. |

Actually it does say this in the rules so its really sad if people dont do this: " 7. Receiving a Gift - Your buddy has put a lot of thought, effort, money and time into your gift. We believe that the least you can do is thank them. Please start a thread in the YT Gift Exchange Forum after you have received your gift so that your Gift Giver knows that you have received the goodies. It shows your buddy that you appreciate it and also lets us know that you received your gift so we know who or who did not receive their gifts. This is a requirement of participating in the Gift Exchange." |
