I certainly hope you aren't talking about me! All I wanted to do was help a dog with medical needs as a memorial to Rachel (Bella Bear). My idea was to get YT rescue.com or stoppuppymills.com to set it up where our members could contribute directly to them in Rachel's memory, and have it mentioned on their website in honor of Rachel. I surley hope you are referring to something else. If I broke any rules, I'm so sorry! I just wanted to do something nice.

:eek: Elizabeth!! You couldn't rip anybody off if you tried!! :p I missed your post about honoring Rachel ... I think it's a wonderful idea!! I can't get her off my mind and feel so helpless ... I think it would be great for us to do something! Please keep us updated! ;)

Nooooo Elizabeth !!! What you did was WONDERFUL ! :thumbup: :thumbup: I know I was super touched by your idea and wish I wasn't so strapped because I for sure would have contacted you ...You did an awesome thing and for a very very good cause.

I know for a fact that this isn't aimed at anyone in particular...mostly just the infrequent person that signs up - pulls on peoples heartstrings... and then we never hear from them again....

I agree. When people ask for donatiions, they could at least give word that they sent whatever they used the donation money for. Or they could ask for input from the donators on what exactly to get.

oh and just because someone has a ton of posts doesn't mean they're honest and well-meaning. If it doens't feel right or legit, don't do it. Use your instinct.

I have to agree, we all want the best for these babies and we run to the checkbook to help whenever we can. One thing I've noticed is that the few people I've helped (wish it could be more) have all been people who were established members, and they NEVER ASKED for money or donations. They simply told about a terrible situation with a sick baby and they were looking for some moral support. It was the community that came together and decided to help out. And those people were always so appreciative, it was obvious they needed the help. I'm always happy to help out a fellow YT-er who needs it, especially if it involves a sick or injured baby. I wish that scammers didn't exist, but as someone said, this is the world wide web. We are going to be scammed occassionally. It's the chance we take. But, as Kimberly said we just need to be careful.

Teri I agree with you 100% on this!! YT members do rally together for those in need and it a crying shame that some feed off of this... :(

eensor this post doesn't reflect you at all. Your situation is totally different reason this post came about. Keep you head high "We love you" If there is anything I can do for you please PM me...

I have noticed on here a couple of times people coming on here soliciting for Money. They are Ususally people I dont know and have never heard of. Fasteddie usually finds and deletes the posts. I dont mind giving into collections taken for Yorkietalkers that I know who are in need. I have done that several times.

I feel like you guys are talking about me.
I joined this forum few months ago, but I`ve never introduced
my self or show my baby,Jimmy to you guys.

When I posted about poor dogs in Korea,
I felt guilty indeed that I had to post my first one about this sad story.
But, I want you to know that I have no intention to get money from this site
or something. Actually I haven`t sent any money for those animals myself because of transaction problem. I live in the Netherlands. I donate Dutch animal rescue team . I just want to more people know about the bad situation.

I thought then Korean government can get pressure about international willing.

Actually I was not very interested about animal rescue or animal welfare.
But since I have Jimmy ( 8 months yorkie ) my heart started to so
ache when I heard of encounter about animals in pain or in cruelty.
Jimmy makes me better hearted person.

Anyway.. I understand you want to be careful about newbie like me..
But please don`t misjudge me. I `ve got lots of help and information about yorkie from this site. I will write more and show my baby tonight.

I LOVED that you cared enough to post about those poor dogs and many of us will sign ALL those petitions and we try to do our parts to help...there are so many awful things out there....

Our country AND other countries need to STOP the torture & I Applauded your post and I did reply to you - KEEP Them coming !! There are some of us that really do spend our time trying to speak for dogs off the sites...and your links were a good way to try to help.

This is just a reminder IN GENERAL and not directed to anyone here..... We as a site LOVE TO HELP.....but I hope everyone sees this for the reason Kimberley posted it ..... JUST USE COMMON SENSE !!

I had to laugh - I spent all last weekend working on donations for Marie so this thread COULD have been about ME ....:D hehe - it wasn't and I knew that...but PLEASE...don't anyone take it personally !
