Donating YT 30K Club Member | I lost the battle of the mats Cali si going to the groomer today at 12:00. I could not get the mats out of her hair from wearing the onesies after her surgery. I know I will be in tears after I pick her up. I have been wanting her hair long and this will set her back about 6 months!

| Edie mats up under clothes very quickly, so I try not to dress her, if possible. (She is my little nudist!!). Personally, I love short hair better. Don't fret over it! |

| I am sorry you have to get her groomed. My groomer will take the matts out for you but charge you a little extra. It is better than having them shaved down. Jewels has a couple and I am taking her to be groomed soon.

| I am sure she will be precious either way...and I know she will enjoy not having to fight that pesky comb/brush anymore! I was going for the long hair thing on Oscar as well and he was matting under his harness...even wearing it just very short times. We love the shorter clip...much easier and I swear, Oscar likes it better too! Keep your chin up, if you don't like it, it will always grow back...and faster than you think!

| Just take a chill pill before you pick her up...remember, her hair will always grow back and she will be so cute with something new! Who knows, you might even like it that way and I am sure Cali will! Oscar loved not having me fight his mats all the time. He is not a fru-fru kind of dog...feed me, love me, take me outside, but keep that pesky brush away from me!!! That's my man!!! Oh yeah...be sure and post us some pics of her...I just know she will be adorable!

| Everything will be fine. Just remember it is hair it will grow back. I wanted the long hair on my baby too. When she went into heat she blew her coat. Now that she has a litter of pups she looks so terriable. She has long hair in places and short hair in places. After she weans the pups I to am going to get her groomed. It will be a sad day but I just keep telling myself it's just hair and it will grow back. |

| I recently had a grooming incident where my regular groomer allowed his asst. to do Mellie needless to say she came home basically bald. Just remember it will grow back. Make her feel special we all know how we feel when we have a bad hair day.

| Although you would love to keep her hair long and have them take out the mats, it's very painful for the pup and it's just better to have them cut short. Don't worry, the hair grows back faster than you think. Hope all goes well!!

| learn from my mistake Oh honey it is better to just get the hair cut.......dematting many mats is very very stressful and painful for the little guys....I made that mistake once and will never never do that again...... I do use a dematting tool from petsmart that is wonderful between groomings.....it has saved my babies from painful experiences. Short is cute too and it will grow......depending on the hair texture...clothes can be a real problem..... Max is cotton coat...wears sweaters Maggie is silky and mats too easily for cute clothes It will be ok......many of us have been there. Max and Maggies' mom
