| brushes and combs Good Morning everyone...I hope I am putting this post in the right area, if not please feel free to correct me. Could anyone tell me exactly what type of brush and comb to use on my 4 month old yorkie, I have had him for almost a month and in that time have been getting him used to baths, house training and the family. I have been using a small cat brush mostly just to get him used to being groomed, now his hair is growing out a bit and i know i need to do some proper grooming....any adivice is welcome..thanks

| I would defenitely recommend getting him used to his nails being trimmed more people run into probs with that than any. I use a comb for rats and you can get a wire brush with the balls on the end. I am just now growing my yorkies hair out..i've always kept them short..so i'm sure some others will have some good advice for you..one thing i have learned recently (wish i would of learned this sooner) is spray your dog with some grooming spray or mist with water..never brush a dry coat..it makes the hair break..
