| scary times my little sasha had a heart attack and stopped breathing i got the fluid out of her lungs gave her mouth to mouth and got her breathing again, she spent the night in the vets and was put on pills but sadly she had another one 2 weeks later and id already made my mine up to let her go as the vet said if she had another one they couldnt do anything for her and she would have to be put to sleep, she stopped breathing for 3 mins and i thought she had gone but started breathing again so i had to make the sad trip to the vet where she was pts, that was last july i lost my baby and her having the heart attack was the scaryist time of my life.whats the most scared you have been with your yorkie?it could be an illness or you lost them anything.

| I am very very sorry that you lost your baby, I will pray for you I know it must be extremely difficult. The scariest moment I had with Georgie was this past Sunday he started having a seizure or something similar, and I rushed him to the emergency vet. They believe it was because he had low blood sugar, and he seems to be doing fine now. Again, I am very sorry about your loss.

| Gosh that is such a sad story! I am so sorry that you had to go through that! The worst thing I have ever been through with my babies is when I found Gidget completely limp and bleeding from the nose and mouth! Thank God that she made it through and she is now completely fine!

| Our little yorkie had been having health issues. It never was determined exactly what her problem was, but she was not well. We let her outside one afternoon around 4:30, at 6:30 we realized that she had not scratched to come back in, she was gone. We live on an acreage, so we are not sure if she wandered off on her own to die or if a hawk or owl got her. Since it was right at dusk we are thinking maybe an owl. The guilt we feel is overwhelming. Second story. A few years ago that same little yholrkie was run over by the back wheel of a golf cart. My husband just was going to move it a few feet and she loves to ride on it. He had no idea that she was there. We have no idea how she surived that. But she had no internal injuries and no broken bones. She was very sore for a couple of weeks. Last edited by JeanieK; 03-21-2006 at 09:33 AM. |

| My friend had a two pound yorkie who used to run like a bullet through the house. One day she just stopped and fell over dead. It was heart attack, also. I'm sorry for your loss. The most scared I was with Bandit was when he had his last seazure. It was so awful and hubby grabbed him and rushed him to the ER vet. He died that night. The most scared I've been with Tucker is right now, waiting for him to have his surgery next week and for the biopsy results to come back.

| from the age of about 2 sasha started to have fits, the vet said as they were not bad ones he didnt want to give her pills for it as they had bad side affects, then a month b4 i had to have her pts she started breathing funny so i took her to the vets they said she had a enlarged heart ie heart failure, when i dog goes in to heart failure they cant cure it but they can slow it down if the pills work which sometimes it dont, well the pills didnt work and she had 2 heart attacks, she was 12. i think she was born with a heart problem and thats why she had the fits but it wasnt found untill it was to late.she had a lot of problems over the years fits, womb infection, bowel problems, tummy ulcer, and cancer.she did use to have a few scrapes but that cant cause the problems she had.her 2 sons i have are fine.

| The scarriest time I have had so far was when chachi kept losing hair and gnawing open wonds all over himself. The vet put him on all kinds of meds and it wasnt getting any better. They did a skin test and disccovered he had mites also. After he was dipped a couple of times his skin problems have disapeared
