Our little yorkie had been having health issues. It never was determined exactly what her problem was, but she was not well. We let her outside one afternoon around 4:30, at 6:30 we realized that she had not scratched to come back in, she was gone. We live on an acreage, so we are not sure if she wandered off on her own to die or if a hawk or owl got her. Since it was right at dusk we are thinking maybe an owl. The guilt we feel is overwhelming.

Second story. A few years ago that same little yholrkie was run over by the back wheel of a golf cart. My husband just was going to move it a few feet and she loves to ride on it. He had no idea that she was there. We have no idea how she surived that. But she had no internal injuries and no broken bones. She was very sore for a couple of weeks.
