| Keeley was 3.3 pounds at 10 weeks, and grew about a pound a month until he hit 8 pounds and then stopped. He is almost a year and has been at 8 pounds for awhile now. |

| I did see Ladys father, he was about 4-5 pounds. As soon as we get back from the vet tonight (her first visit), I will post some pictures. |

| Hi, There is a puppy growth chart under "General Yorkie Discussion". My puppy, Preston, is 19 weeks and weights 39 oz. (2.4 lbs). When I got him at 10 weeks he was 21 oz. (1.3 lbs). Honestly, I wanted a small yorkie. However, now that I have Preston I've realized how incredibly small under 3-4 lbs. is!!! I'm hoping he still grows because he's so small and can't play with our other dogs. It's a lot of work. If it bothers you then call the breeder because you have been misled and that's not fair. A good indication can sometimes be price. If he was very inexpensive that may be suspect... Good Luck! |

| I'm ok if she gets bigger then what I was told. It's too late I am already attached to her. I paid $1,100 for her, not sure if that was inexpensive or not. All the breeders that I had looked at seemed to be around the same or a little higher. |

| Hmmmm... My cousin paid $1200 for her yorkie and he's 8 lbs. My girlfriend paid $5000 for her yorkie and he's 3 lbs. I visited many breeders and they were quoting me prices based on size. However, sometimes, even though the parents were small their babies grow up to be big. They're just like us... they come in all shapes and sizes. I have a 12 lb. doggie too (westie mix) and she is PERFECT. Not too small and not too big... My brother is tall even though both our parents are short! It's so hard to know. Congratulations on your baby! You're going to love her!!! Preston has a BIG personality and is smart as a whip!!! We've really enjoyed having him except have had to be extra careful because of his tiny size... Either way, they become part of the family and we love them and they love us ;D |

| My little Coco was sooooo small when I got her and at 12 weeks she was barely a pound. Now at a year, she's 4lbs 9oz. So doubling her weight at 12 weeks didn't work for me (thank GOD!!! That would have been wayy too tiny). I think they come in different shapes and sizes. Even knowing their parents' weight doesn't help that often. My friends yorkie is HUGE and he came from standard parents 5lbs, and a champion yorkie in his lineage. He is like 13 lbs, but just the sweetest thing. Coco great a ton between 6-8 months. She was like 1.5 lbs forever and in between 6-8 she gained like 2-3 lbs..it was weird but definetely better that way. Can't wait to see pictures of your baby

| Just to give you an example.... Stomper was 3 pounds at 8 weeks. His parents were 5 and 7 pounds. The breeder said he would probably be 8 pounds. When I took them to the vets, they first said 10 pounds and then changed it to 12 pounds! Stomper is now 17.6 pounds at 1 1/2 years old! You never know what you will get. I would love him BIG or small! I would guess that your little guy will end up being over 8 pounds. That is just a guess from his current weight.

| Both of mine exceeded weight chart predictions. At 8 weeks Chachi was a lb he is almost 10 lbs now. Jewels was 12 oz at 8 weeks she is 6 lbs now. I would say your pup is going to be 8 or 9 lbs but you never really know.

| Donating YT 14K Club Member | I'd guess 5-7 lbs. But, nothing is written in stone with these babes. If it was, Gracie (2.3 lbs at 8 weeks) would be almost 7 lbs and Rebel (2.3 lbs at 6 weeks) would be at least 6 lbs. On the contrary, Gracie weighs about 5 1/2 - 5 3/4 and Rebels is a solid 4 1/2 lbs.

| Actually I was looking for a tiny yorkie when I got my two and I did not have one breeder who would say what the weight would be. Why? They do not know, they can guess by the parents, grandparents, etc. but I don't believe anyone who says for sure. The only way I'd take it to the bank would be if I bought a full grown tiny. I ended up with one larger, 7lbs now and one smaller, 4lbs, both are great, so it really doesn't matter. |
