| Hello oh my Goshhh.I can not understand that . Why are some people so cruel...?? I would do the same to them. What do you think ? Yes such cages are for rabbits but doggies ??? I have no words for that. About such people who put yorkies to cage I would say very bad words but I can not use them at this friendly forum.........Dana ANdy and Toby |

| Oh that is so sad. Why would anyone want to keep a yorkie in a rabbit cage. Poor baby!

| When I think of dogs in wire cages (rabbit cages) I think Puppy Mill, that is what they do, they don't care about the dogs in general, why would they even consider their little feet. It is all about the $$$$

| I was trying to be as nice as possible but man she made it so hard. at certain points I'm sure I came off a little rude. She was justifying it by saying "oh she's only two pounds, she'll only take up like this much of it(making a small square with her hands in a corner of the cage)" I do think it's only going to be for while she's gone but still....The poor dog is only 2 lbs and what about it's poor feet? Doesn't she have any brains at all? Here's a link to the exact cage she bought. http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444178 1636&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302026391&ASSORT MENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023695&bmUID=1142008736 963&itemNo=12&Nao=12&In=Small+Pet&N=2026391&Ne=2

| Maybe if you see her again you can ask how her yorkie is doing and suggest if the bottom of the cage is causing problems she can cut plywood to fit and it may work better. Just a thought. So sad what some unthinking, or uncaring people do. |

| As the saying goes, you were between a rock & a hard place and I feel for you. Knowing what's best for the dog & yet having to adopt the "customer is right" stance to keep your job was a difficult spot. It's too bad she wouldn't take your wise advice. I can't imagine the rabbit cage was any cheaper and cleaning it is not easier either. I wonder if she was required to sign something - like "This product is being purchased for use with a ____ (Yorkie). This is not in keeping with the use for which it was originally intended and the customer assumes all responsibility for damage to the animal's feet, nails, legs or any other injuries. The store & its personnel assume no liability for improper use of this product." ) might have given her pause. People like that have so little sense yet always seem to blame others -"well, you sold it to me!" type of thinking -maybe you could suggest it to the store manager. The plywood suggestion was good...even a carpet square would help! |

| Wow. I admire (and understand) your restraint. I don't think I would have been able to hold back setting this woman straight. A 12 week puppy in a rabbit cage? That's just cruel. |
