As the saying goes, you were between a rock & a hard place and I feel for you. Knowing what's best for the dog & yet having to adopt the "customer is right" stance to keep your job was a difficult spot. It's too bad she wouldn't take your wise advice. I can't imagine the rabbit cage was any cheaper and cleaning it is not easier either.
I wonder if she was required to sign something - like "This product is being purchased for use with a ____ (Yorkie). This is not in keeping with the use for which it was originally intended and the customer assumes all responsibility for damage to the animal's feet, nails, legs or any other injuries. The store & its personnel assume no liability for improper use of this product." ) might have given her pause. People like that have so little sense yet always seem to blame others -"well, you sold it to me!" type of thinking -maybe you could suggest it to the store manager.
The plywood suggestion was good...even a carpet square would help! |
