| Training My little guy is now 6 years old. (He's been with me for less than 2 weeks.) Is he too old to be trained? Is there a book I could get to do the training myself or would it be better to go to someone who is a "professional"? |

| what kind of training do you mean? I got daisy in November when she was 6 1/2 yrs old. She wasn't trained in anything as she was a kennel dog. She is now about 95% housebroken. I was just very consistent, patient and offered TONS of praise!!

I should have explained this better. I meant training so he will learn how to follow directions (i.e. sit) when needed. He may be 6 but has many traits of a puppy (as do many Yorkies) so that kind of training could be helpful. BTW, Sean is a "rescue" and is doing extremely well in such short time. The one thing I continue to work on is his separation anxiety when I'm out of his sight. | |
