I think any of us that have had our dogs undergo surgery have felt the same frustrations and worries as you are now feeling! Bless your heart and Bella's too! I'll say a prayer that she does well and recuperates quickly!!! *HUG*

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers for Bella. I am happy to say that she is home now and all went well. I picked her up at around 5 last night...she was very sleepy but she has not whinned or cried at all. She is such a brave strong little girl. While they had her under for the spaying They did a dye test and an ultrasound which ruled out the two kinds of liver shunts that are operable and the others where inconclusive. The vet said although her bile acids were high after she ate when they gave her those tests a few months ago, she shows none of the other signs that these little guys show with a liver shunt. He is going to let her grow some more and watch and see what happens. If she is to show any signs at all I am to bring her in for another kind of test. She is such a strong healthy little girl that my hopes are very high that she will be just fine. Thanks again all for your thoughts and prayers. You are a very special group of people. Hey, Bella, it's me, Toto!! How are you feeling today?? Gotta let you in on a couple of our girl Yorkie "secrets"! Shhhhhhhhh .... mum's the word!

Right now you are in a "prime" position for some major spoiling/pampering!! I'm talkin' big time!!

It's great that your "surgery" went well and you and I both know you're probably feelin' pretty good today .... right? Wellllll .... just keep acting a tad sleepy, keep the tiny "tongue thing" going and make those really cute little sounds if anyone dare disturb your cute little naps or "forbidden" treats!!

You got it made, girlfriend!!! Work it to your advantage!!! This is BIG and will keep you out of trouble for a little mischief for some time to come!! [Been there ... and I was a major brat!!]

On a serious note ... if you really feel bad or uncomfortable, let your Mom know right away!! She is truly worried about you and will do anything to make sure you're OK!!

Puppy kisses from me to you and just keep being a spoiled, sweet little girl for your Mom and give her lots & lots of smoochies!!

Absolutely!!!!

When I think back, Toto really "played" me!! One of the girls at the vet's says when she dies, she wants to come back as Toto!! Funny thing is, we have had lots of people tell us that!!
