| Yorkie/Maltese (Yorktese aka Morkie) Do any of you have a Yorkie/Maltese or have ever had one? If so, can you send me pictures? I am thinking about getting one because I love the white in them whether they are all white, blonde/white, or completely Yorkie coloring with a little white. I can't afford a Biewer! I was just wondering because the puppies are absolutely adorable and I haven't seen an adult! If any of you can help me, please post, message me here or on AIM, or e-mail me at shortirishcuti@adelphia.net! I plan to get this pup from a reputable Yorkie and Maltese breeder who hopefully just had a small accident. I love Yorkies and Malteses! I mean, look at these puppies! I love the one in the middle! He looks like a teddy bear! And the one on the left is cute too. The one on the right is a little too non-colorful. http://breeders.dogbreedinfo.com/ima...2_150136_1.jpg Please help me! | I saw an adult one... I have a maltese and a yorkie. I went to the fair last year and I saw this man with what looked like a maltese but with the coloring of the middle one in your picture, I had to ask what it was. She was very cute! He said it was yorkie/maltese mix. I hadn't even heard of that before. |

| I know! I just think they are so cute! Those puppies aren't for sale though! They were one of the breeders first litters. The breeder said that the blonde Yorktese's are rare to get in a litter (but they don't charge more for them) and they have only had three so far. The breeder is a reputable Yorkie and Maltese breeder in Missouri who has started to purposely breed Yorktese's. I would e-mail and get information, etc. but I don't want to have a puppy shipped to me because I dont get to meet it! Well, I'll look for one in my local news paper. There is one which brought up an interest for me in a Yorktese. She's a 5 month old. A little older than I wanted, btu I'm gonna call tomorrow because if she is near me, I at least can go see the dog. Ya know? |

| They do charge quite a bit but I've actually seen yorkie mix dogs for more than that. For some reason cross breeds have been in demand now since you are gettin 2 breeds in one ( I guess). There is a organization now that recognizes some of these breeds and they cld be registered. Sire and Dam must each be purebreed of whatever particular breeds is gonna be used. I believe its the american canine hybrid club. I plan on breeding my bichon frise with my yorkshire when the time is right. Which is now called a Yochon. Heres a site I found of some..if u scroll all the way to the bottom you'll see some pics.. http://www.rollingmeadowspuppies.com/YoChonPage.html Heres a pic of one.. |

| If you go back far enough "all dogs are mutts". The Yorkshire Terrier was derived from breeding several types of terriers together. There is some debate about which ones, but that's how all "new" breeds come to be. The Biewer Terrier was derived from the breeding for the non-breed standard colors in the Yorkshire Terrier and became a recognized breed in 1984. |
