| ![]() My vet says 6 months, but is this what you all think also? Daisy is on the bigger side so it's not like putting a 3 lb baby under, but I just want to make sure that I don't do it too early or too late. Want to catch her before her first heat... |

| ![]() Most vets like to do it around 6 mo. I would wait till then, she will be more developed and better able to handle going under. Also she should have lost all of her baby teeth by then and if she has retained any they can take them out at the same time and that way she only has to go under once. Also when you do take her in a lot of vets offer extra services that you should take advantage of at that time. I know that my vet will clean their teeth for 5 buck and trim their nails for free. Best of luck.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() I would highly recommend doing it no later than 6 months. I kept putting off having Cali spayed because I was afraid since she has had some health issues, and she went into heat this morning at 8 months.
