Donating YT 500 Club Member | I got Trixie off PuppyFind after lots of calls/emails from scammers. I just 1st made sure the phone# and address were legit. Then spoke on the phone many times along with /tons of emails (over 25) with updated pictures. I was sooo afraid I would still get scammed. She had a nice web page and referances etc so I took the plunge!! I am so happy I did. I LOVE Trixie sooo much and cant think of life without her now. good luck!!

| I have bought 2 online. But from a breeder with her own website. Wagin Tail Yorkies.com It is my understanding there are a lot of scams on sites like puppyfind. Just be careful. On some sites people are stealing pictures from good breeders and posting them as there own. Good luck on finding your baby.

| The current estimate of total number of scams on these sites is 70-80%. Don't think I would be looking on line for a puppy or a referral. Maybe post on here what you are searching for and maybe a YTer can help. Go to the classified section and post.. |

| I got my Yorkies from Next Day Pets on the web. I paid for my first puppy via Pay-pal and the second one that I just got, I paid by check. My yorkie's come from Missouri, I am in New York.

| WARNING: I may be remember the following completely wrong!!! There was a story in the news a few years ago where a gal bought a puppy online and never got the puppy. I think it was a yorkie. Anyhow the news did one of those investigative reports and went to the "Breeders" house. It was like an apartment and when the lady opened the door a puppy came running out. Apparently they've been selling the same puppy to several different buyers and it was their own pet. NOTE: Feel free to correct my story and set me straight!

| I bought my little Bichon on line and he was shipped to me. He is a great little dog, but not really what I should have gotten for the amount of money I spent. Of course, I love him just as much anyway. I'll not buy online again - first of all, why do we need to do this??? If we have patience, are willing to drive a ways, and keep looking, we can usually visit our dog's breeder, ask questions, and see our pup before we bring it home. Carol Jean |
