| ![]() Pixie is a Chicken Soup Girl. She loves it! I just bought a bag of the Merricks Puppy Plate that everyone was raving about.... She was not really impressed with it. The chunks are like twice to three times the size of CS. I even added the warm water and made gravy with it and still no rave reviews from her?? ( you can feed it dry or add water and it makes its own gravy) I guess we will be sticking to the Chicken soup. It was a pricy bag too! Bummer, Back to the store, she is almost out of Chicken soup! Maybe I can bring it back and they can donate it to the shelter? If its not broke, don't fix it! I'm thrilled that she loves the CS... I will stop tempting fate. I don't want her changing her mind about the Chicken Soup!

| ![]() On recommendations from a few folks here on YT, I switched from Royal Canin to Innova. What a difference! It's nice to see my finicky little eater finally enjoying her food. |

| ![]() I have tried many many dog foods. Trying to find the right size kibble(small bites) has been a process. Plus I wanted to feed only the "BEST" food to my little darlings. I did a lot of research on the ingredients.....what was good what was bad....etc. I've read all of my Yorkie Books to find out what they needed to eat. I do believe that it's a good thing to rotate dog foods to prevent nutient toxicity, deficiency or embalance. Switching from one source of protein to another occasionally can help prevent the developement of food allergies and intolerances. I have feed Dudley and Dinkey, Artemis, Burns, Flint River, Evolve, and Natural Balance. All are small enough bites for my furkids. (I rotate them every two to three months) I think the best one for when they were little pups was Burns puppy. It has real small kibble and it's a very very wholesome dry food. Some of this information if from "The Whole Dog Journal." Hope this helps some......... ![]()

| ![]() Buddy is a pretty good eater - though he doesn't like the Innova food, oddly. He LOVES Natural Balance wet food and the "bullets" which I cut up into tiny little bites and use for training because he just goes nuts for it. I'd like to try him on the Merrick food, based on the feedback here it seems like an excellent quality food. I found a new high quality dry puppy food last time I was out and he LOVES it - even more than the Natural Balance dry. His poop is *much* more compact since he started eating it. I feed him in his little puppy kong - I put a small layer of the Natural Balance semi-dry bullet pieces, then a whole bunch of dry up to the top, and then wet food to "seal" it. He sits for his dinner and LOVES the food/playtime, and it keeps him occupied for a while. He eats 3 times a day, combination of wet and dry food and eats really well. The breeder had him on Eukanuba/Science Diet and I definitely notice that his stool is much firmer with this new brand - he's also much more enthusiastic about it. Love being able to talk about my puppy with other Yorkie peeps! |

| ![]() I'm feeding my puppy Canidae dry after a long bout on chicken and rice for inflammed intestines. This was the only dog food that he could tolerate. I tried many different brands, donated them to the local shelter. They were so appreciative. Jessica |

| ![]() [COLOR=Magenta]We use the nutro lamb and rice too, small bits. She seems to love them. Actually, I don't know if she even tastes them since she eats so quick. How much do you all feed your yorkies? Bella weighs 7 lbs and gets 1/4 c twice a day. Does that seem right? Bella's Mom |

| ![]() my little guy is the fussiest eater but since switching him to Merrick Grammy's Pot Pie we haven't had a problem. I brought him home from the breeder on Diamond and National then I started him on Royal Canin puppy but he just stopped eating it one day. So I switched to Merrick and he's been on it for about 8 months with no problems. |
