I apologize for laughing. I was not laughing at your misfortune, as another poster seemed to imply. I got a kick out of your diagram...it just tickled my funny bone. The way you told the story was also amusing.

I do sympathize with you. I've also repaired carpet in the apartment my daughter was moving out of. I cut a little from a corner inside the closet and glued it down. It was not even noticeable and she got her total deposit back.

When I first read this thread, I guess I was also worried about people lambasting you for keeping a dog in an apartment that didn't allow them and wanted to have my response be on the lighter side. I wish you success in your carpet repair and happiness in your new home!

I don't think you have any reason to appoligize to that poster, everyone knows you were not being mean.

I know how that is, I had my dog in my apt before I moved and everytime we ran into someone outside I would say it's my moms dog!! haha...
My mom said how she was helping me with my carpet and it worked great I got all of my deposit back!!

Oh, I know you weren't laughing at my misfortune! Don't worry about it. I wasn't offended. I was mad at her when I first saw it, but it's funny now what she does to "get back at me!"

Now I know we're not alone, LOL We've affectionately referred to the renovations as "Buddy's Tile and Flooring" - we're due for some remodeling anyway, so I tell my dh the dog is trying to tell him something LOL!
